I for one don't want LeChump back. He decided to ditch the jersey when the pressure was at it's highest. I rather him being in opposing dressing room and leaving with a W every time then to take him back.

Personally, I could care less what players we have as long as we win at-least one championship (and preferably multiple rings). If it takes LeBron to win it... so be it.
For those who say they don't want him back just because he went to Miami... that's BS! Would you work where the city you lived in wanted or would you work where you thought you'd be happiest?
I was as pissed as everyone else when he left... but once the original anger passed over, I was able to deal with it.... what choice did I (or any of us) have? He is a grown man. He felt his best shot was in Miami. Am I to hate him because he didn't agree with me and my loyalties?
There are a lot of "ifs" that will never be answered, and people who continuously worry about what "could have been" are sacrificing the future, for something that will never change.
It is time to move on... it has been time.
If LeBron does come back, and there is a single person who does not support him, then that person is not a true fan of the Cavaliers. If he wants to come here and someone is screaming "No... not him", then you are not a true fan of the Cavaliers. A true fan wants what is best for his team. LeBron is the best... I want him for my team. PERIOD!
FWIW: I am not questioning anyone's loyal to our team, but I question your motives. It is not a prerequisite that you like LeBron, or what he did. However, it is mandatory that you support the TEAM, in it's entirety, including LeBron, if he were to return.

Hello Heathmalc. Welcome back.
I'll try to put in a way that you can understand.
Say you had a daughter. And she was dating an all-american guy. They've been dating a long time and this guy promises her that he will get her a nice ring one day. But this one day turns into years. She stays loyal but in the end, he decided that after all these years that he had to do what was best for him and find greener pastures elsewhere. But what did your daughter do wrong? She stayed by his side, was loyal, and did everything he asked. So he then marries some super model girl, very glamorous but she cares nothing for him. So a few years later realizing that he probably made a big mistake, he divorces the super model and tries to reconnect with your daughter.
You're telling me that you would honestly support him reconnecting with your daughter?
Not to say that professional sports is as serious as your own flesh and blood but the scenario is only but a metaphor. I'm not mad that he left. You're right. He is a grown man. I'm mad at the diva-ish way he left. You claim I wouldn't be a real fan if I didn't support him coming back to this team. Well guess what. That would be the same thing as supporting some douchebag slimeball reconnecting with your daughter. I understand that this city is dying for a championship. BUT AT WHAT COST!!!???
I'm sure your main wish is for your daughter to be married and have children. But I'm also sure that when it comes to your daughter, it's not at an ANY MEANS COST. Even though the Cavaliers are not my flesh and blood. This team is reflection of my neighborhood. A city that I work so freaking hard in. A city that I've had some of the most fondest memories in. I remember watching Price & Ehlo as a kid. I have a connection to this city that Mr. LeBron Raymone James will never understand because to be honest, even though Akron is 40 minutes away, it's still not Cleveland. So to say to you Mr. Heathmalc, when you're questioning others about their fanaticism for our beloved Cavs. Just ask yourself, Would being a real Dad mean supporting some slimebag try to get back with my daughter??? Because to tell you the truth, if you haven't killed that douchebag already then you probably was already hoping for the return of LBJ.

This is why folks say that Cavs fans are acting like jilted girlfriends. I just want a chip, if Lebron can do that, then by all means bring him back.
That'd be an awful lot of #1 picks on one team.

I can't stand ladouchebag. But all I care about is winning a title.
We're talkin entertainment not practice

All these high priced atheletes are not to be idlelized. We need to just pay our ticket prices, or cable bill and enjoy the game if we have the time or a good product to watch. Whomever is wearing our colors is not up to us. All that is up to us is whether or not we watch and what we have now is almost not worth the time.

Sign me up for the 'anything for a title' club. I just want that monkey off the city's back.
As for Oden, I can't imagin him ever being considered on par with the other two. That ship has sailed, and he was never even really dominant at OSU.
He and Andy can split the 3rd big duties, each playing 41 games.

If he played as well as he did when not injured Oden would be by far the best big we've had and probably top 5 in the NBA. Of course, the huge caveat here is the when not injured part since I'm not sure he'll ever do that.

Under the current CBA, I'm unsure of the prudence of paying a player $75 million over 3 years to begin a short run. Teams constructed like that are falling and falling hard.
It hasn't worked too well as of late, with the exception of Miami.

A better comparison:
your daughter had a seven year marriage with a wealthy man, during this 7 year you saw your daughter happier than she had ever been before. Your grandchild is born son of this man. Then this man, apparently for no reason, left your Daughter and their children for another woman. At that moment, you were really pissed off, obviously.
Then, after a couple of years, the man redeem himself, and choose to return to your daughter.
You are still way pissed off, but your daughter still loves him, and your grandchild needs his dad back.
What you choose to do?

Without posting my thoughts on a LeBron return, we can't even be sure Oden will produce at all. He's played 82 games since 2007 and I'm not sure if he'll ever be able to start as a center.
If LeBron chooses to come back I'll have to accept it but ideally I think I'd want to win a championship without him.

People would sell their souls for a championship. This is sad.

Oden has had three microfracture knee surgeries. 1 is often a career killer. And he was always injury prone. And he last played 3 years ago, - making it 4 years away from playing if he does play this fall.
There's only the remotest of chances that if he makes it back, that he'd be effective and that he'd even stay healthy.

This team is rebuilding & doing it the right way. Signing Olden now is worth the risk (not a major piece but one that fits) low risk high reward. Our 2013 draft should add even more young talent to this team. The summer of 2014 should be very interesting. We should have at least 2 picks in each draft (14 &15) ours starting to be later & later. I could see a trade of picks for very good player or players. Now is when we sign FREE AGENT. It does not have to be LBJ. Even without F.A. this team should be good enough to compete for homecourt (top 4). What F.A. best fits, puts us over the top, gives us the best chance to win the championship? That is the question that everyone needs to answer.

can we stop making family/personal matter analogies to something that's suppose to be entertainment & have no real effect on your life unless you held some Cavaliers/sports related job that was no longer needed after dude left.

Re: LeBron, Oden, Irving...Super Team?
Signing Oden would be a low risk gamble, we have cap space and as long it is a short term contract with an option year I dont see the harm. Its not like he could command more that 3 or 4 million per, and probably not even that much. If it were to happen I would not expect much from him anyway, like someone stated earlier multiple micro-fracture procedures on the same knee makes it unlikely that he could ever log significant minutes anyway.
