A 1st round pick is the price to take on a bad contract (i.e Jefferson or Biedrins). Bogut does not represent a bad contract. We can just trade him to Atlanta or another team that would like his services.

End of thread.

Thread ends when we want it to end, bub.

I do my part.

I frequently attack people on horseback with a sword.

I personally prefer to use a battle ax, but a sword will do and end the day with a cask of mead

Are the warriors owed any other team's future first round draft picks? I'd be okay absorbing bogut if a few first rounders came with him as well

Bogut would be nice, and Bennett could compliment him well if his jumper is as good as advertised.

What would we give up?

In the last D12 trade rumor we were involved in people wanted us to take on Kris Humphries and give up Thompson+ picks for no reason at all but to see D12 in Brooklyn.

I'd give up Thompson and either Sacramento/Memphis 1st rounders. That's it.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but if Bogut wasn't a bad contract, you wouldn't be looking for someone to take him. You're asking another team to do you a favor and take him--- you have to pay for that courtesy.

theyre trying to make room for dwight.

14m isnt bad for a player when healthy is an elite defender and solid P&R player. Theyre not dumping rashard lewis or gilbert arenas because of bad contracts here, theyre just trying to clear cap space to get Dwight..we could possibly get a steal or an expiring which leaves us flexible for next offseason regardless of results..

Eh I'd rather bogut and am really starting to warm to the idea. I don't think he'll ever be 100% but he showed some great signs in the playoffs. We take on his expiring and if he plays enough we get him some what cheap next year and we've got our defensive centre.

Bogut is not available anymore since Dwight went elsewhere, Biedrins was traded, and Ezili is hurt.

Bogut was never really in play for the Cavs. He was just someone that we would have been taking off your hands for a price.

I feel like some people aren't aware that Bogut, when healthy, is a DPOY candidate and an elite defender.

Yah, the idea that the warriors needed to "pay a price" to move the final year of Boguts contract seems… odd.

Some people just don't pay attention to the whole league.

With Bogut having an entire offseason to rest, without surgery, I bet he can anchor a monster D there in GS. With the addition of probably the best wing defender in the NBA in Iggy, their D can be scary. Thompson's got the length to be a good defender, Barnes has shown the potential to be a lock-down caliber defender when he's committed and I'm sure they'll round out their roster.

Good for you guys, I would've taken Bogut if he were in reach.
