crazy theory or not?

Post#1 » by shazam » Sat Mar 8, 2014 8:00 pm

Rumors have come to light that Phil Jackson wants to get back into the league possibly as a short term coach and maybe then take over as a president/gm. Now if the cavs really are going to go after Lebron than getting rid of Grant did not make any sense, as Grant was responsible for building a relationship back up with the cavs. Unless there is a deal in place to bring in Phil jackson to coach a year or two with lebron back with kyrie to get his 12th ring and then he moves into the front office after that like Riley did. It may be crazy or maybe not. Gilbert is aggressive and will try to make a huge splash and Jackson would be it. Gilbert is sick of losing and being a laughing stock across the league,so i could definitely see this scenario shaking out. If don't you think it almost has to happen as Grant, who was the one who mended fences between cavs and Gilbert, is no longer around and that would probably not sit well with Lebron. UNLESS..........Phil, etc... What ya think? Just some food for thought.

Jackson wouldn't come unless LeBron was already here.
The team they've put together doesn't warrant consideration of a return from LeBron.

Maybe after next year.

If you where Phil Jackson, why would you come to Cleveland when NY or another city could offer you the same or more money plus a city that was not falling apart or has so much more to offer than here? He's played and been so many places I'll bet you he would not come here for double the money

And screw the media that loves to tell us who we should love and why.

Maybe if Gilbert can pull a Pat Riley and privately convince both LeBron and Phil to come over at the same time. Otherwise, I doubt it unless by some chance Phil is feeling crazy and wants to take a shot at building a crappy team that no one cares about. At Phil's age and with his level of success, I really can't imagine him going anywhere where he wouldn't already be set up for success (which is basically what he's done so far).
