Cavs vs Pacers

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Sun Mar 30, 2014 8:26 pm

Halftime Cavs 49 Pacers 36 I'm astonished, but I won't even entertain whether they can win until they've gotten beyond their typical 3rd quarter collapse.

90-76 with 43 secs to go, I think we might be able to call this a win

Trade kyrie for the best package we can get this summer unless Lebron wants to play with him and comes over. He is our Rudy Gay.

Does anyone else think it's odd that Waiters took 20 shots and not a single free throw?

Best part of the game was when David West, who realized that the Pacer's had no other options, tried to bully the Cavs around to see if they would back down. He picked who he thought was the smallest guy on the court in Delly, and then was instantly surrounded by Hawes, Zeller, and Dion as Delly jumped right back up to his feet to hold his teammates back. Delly promptly hit both free throws and Dion hit a ridiculous shot to seal the deal.

Thats one of those team building moments that these young guys can build on.

I don't think that Delly was the best choice of players to try to bully, but then I'm not entirely sure who would have been. These are no longer LeBrons Cavaliers as far as defending a teammate.

If you were an NBA GM, you would make Isiah Thomas look like RC Buford.

Cavs play better without kyrie as evident by the recent stretch of games.

Well, I've seen a very big sample size of this team playing with a healthy Kyrie, and they suck over that sample size :)

I'd definitely dangle him on the trade market and see what type of offers are available. If you could get something like atentakompo (spelling?) And the Bucks pick, it would be stupid not to explore it. Don't fool yourselves into believing Kyrie is a franchise player.

Dangling someone in the trade market automatically decreases their value. As I've said before, Kyrie is a better player and if he was with a talented team it'd be even more evident. He just shouldn't be a first option.

Which is exactly what I'm saying, If you can get Lebron back this summer and let Kyrie be the second option, I'm all for it, but if he doesn't come back and the franchise decides to go with Kyrie as a franchise player, that's the wrong way to go and the roster needs to be restructured. If you can trade him for two promising players and even out the roster, they this would easily be a better team. If we traded him to the bucks we could be looking at a lineup of

Jack
Waiters
Atentakompo
Thompson/Bennett
Embiid

+ a bunch of cap room.
