Re: Vent thread
From Daniel Rowell:
"Dear Cleveland Sports,
From the moment
I started putting out dumpster fires
And calling into radio shows at 4 AM
To rant about pick and roll defense
When it was still the Gund Arena
I knew one thing was real:
I fell in love with you.
A love so deep I gave you my all —
From my hotcakes & hot takes
To my most my free time & money.
As a seven-year-old boy
Deeply in love with the Cleveland Indians
I never saw Kenny Lofton win a World Series.
I only saw my dad’s disappointed face
as he turned around our volvo to go home, when y’all blew it in the 9th.
And so I ran to the Cavs.
I ran up and down the Eastern Conference standings
After every decision, and firing, and firing, and firing, and firing, and firing, and return.
You asked for my patience
I gave you my heart
Because we’d all get Chalupas if you scored 100 pts.
I watched through the Spurs sweep and whatever the hell happened in Orlando and Boston
Not because losing is fun
Well actually losing is kind of fun.
I did everything for YOU
I mean… Dion Waiters and Anthony Bennett.
But I guess that’s what you do
When someone makes you feel as
Alive as you’ve made me feel.
You gave a twenty six-year-old dude his LeBron come home dream
But I’ll always hate you for trading away Andrew Wiggins for Kevin Love.
And… TBH… I can’t “Love” you obsessively for much longer.
This season is all I have left to give.
My heart can take the pounding, (A 34 point loss the the Warriors on a damn holiday weekend!?)
My mind can handle the grind (Why fire Blatt midway through the season? Why now?)
But my body knows it’s time to say goodbye. (But like not yes because we could still win this, right?)
And that’s OK.
I’m ready to let you go. (May-be. Definitely the Browns, the Indians made some interesting off season moves tho. And like LeBron is still LeBron so I’ll watch that.)
I want you to know now
So we both can savor every moment we have left together. (Except that game against the Spurs next week, I might skip that one).
The good and the bad. (And the JR tweets about Madden during coach-firing pressers.)
We have given each other
All that we have. (Well I still have questions about who gave Dan Gilbert that $110 million but at least it goes to the players now.)
And we both know, no matter what I do next
I’ll always be that kid
who has to watch Cavs games laying on the ground from the weight of 51 years of championship expectations
Flaming Dumpster of a hometown sports franchise
:05 03 seconds on the clock
Ball in Jordan’s hands.

Why I just hate Steven A. After preaching that the Cavs needed to fire Blatt for a year straight, he tweets this:

Re: Vent thread
The league reviewed JR's foul and said it was the wrong call. So we've got that going for us.

Re: Vent thread
What did you think of the Frye trade? I personally would have wanted to keep Varejao. While a more consistent spot-up 3-point shooter than Love, Frye is certainly not money from the 3-point line (especially under pressure) and brings exactly nothing else to the table. The Cavs needs are 1) for Irving and LeBeron to share the ball on offense with more consistency, and 2) somebody to replace Mozgov's rim/interior defense from last year (as he's not providing it). What they don't need is another spot-up shooter waiting passively on the perimeter for the rare bailout pass.....
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.

I'm a very definite MEH on the trade. I don't feel as badly for AV as others. He could have said hey - folks have paid way too much money already given the amount of money you paid me. Instead he said I'll take the LBJ bonus please. As far a Frye, I don't know how the rotations are going to work. I happen to think you've got to play Mozgov & TT with Kyrie.
