Meanwhile the rich get richer with McRae and Felder along with other veteran acquisitions. Your team is even better than last season and should be favorites to win it all. I'm not buying the Warriors hype though they should be in finals too

Glad to see your optimism for our situation, man, but I can't see him becoming better than Delly, just because his defense will always be a problem, so in order to compensate for the significant advantage Delly has on that end, he would have to be a clearly superior offensive player. And considering Delly is a better 3-point shooter and facilitator (regardless of Felder's collegiate assist numbers I haven't seen anything from him thus far that suggests he'll be anything special as a playmaker on this level), I just don't envision that happening.

Last year, Delly posted a 37th in the league ranked +2.25 RAPM (NPI). +1.45 O and +0.79 D. So with Felder playing the same backup PG role, assuming he's around the -1.50 D territory (slightly worse than Kyrie and slightly better than Lillard), he would have to put up over a +3.75 O just to best Delly's impact. To give you an idea of how many guys have that kind of offensive impact, the NPI list last year included just Westbrook, Durant, Curry, LeBron, and Draymond... That's it.

So while I love what Felder can potentially provide and I'm excited to watch the guy play, I'm keeping my expectations relatively low because I highly doubt he'll match - much less exceed - what Delly did for this team last year. There's a reason he got paid $10 mil/yr and is currently prepping for a starting role on the Bucks.

Should have traded shumpert and kept Delly.
Even a lineup of Felder as PG and Delly as a SG is intriguing..

Honestly, I just wish LeBron took less money... You would think he could sacrifice a few million per year, considering the billion dollar lifetime Nike deal he signed. He's gotta be more concerned with his legacy at this point than getting a little bit richer (relatively), and keeping Delly gives the Cavs a better chance at winning another championship, which would obviously bolster LeBron's legacy a ton.

Yeah, I don't understand this at all.
He is making incomprehensible amount of money from his sponsor deals but I think he just wanted to be the highest paid player in the league, his ego is just too much for us normal folks to understand.

Also, there is a possibility Delly wanted to be a starter and he couldn't get this opportunity here so the Cavs and Delly sorted a deal out between themselves and kinda did him a big favor(?!).

CAvs could have signed him and Delly on a 10m contract is a bargain, he could have been a great asset if they really wanted to get rid of him or clear his salary.(for an expiring such as Rudy Gay etc or a draft pick)

Bah, I just don't understand their thinking tbh, all of them.
I have no doubt Delly i going to have the best season of his career.

This depth chart's not right is it?

I know obviously it isn't for LeBron and Love, but for Felder?

That depth chart is downright bizarre.
