I've been paying close attention to Cedi since last year and truly believe if Cedi can put it all together he can be a pretty solid 3+D player. I think he has the potential to be a 17-5-5 guy in a few years.
Just curious, what do Cavs fans think of him and who do you think are his ceiling/floor comparisons?

Re: Cedi Osman Potential?
He just put up 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists against the Pacers.
OMFG white Lebron?!?
Just kidding haha. Just a Summer league game.
I do like how he seems to have the non stop energy and never gives up on plays.

Re: Cedi Osman Potential?
Definitely has that potential. Could see him being a very similar player to Tayshaun Prince/Trevor Ariza/Andre Iguodala. Hopefully Sexton will end up similar to Chauncey Billup/Eric Bledsoe that can play great defense and facilitate the offense as needed while scoring efficiently. Unfortunately it almost feels like Zizic might be a decade too late for the NBA he would've really thrived in, but with a. lot of good young big men coming into the league the past few years, and the fact that GS won't be able to keep it together for forever, the small ball line-up which is really only possible because of the players they have.

Re: Cedi Osman Potential?
I could see something like 12 ppg, 5 rpg, and 2.5 apg while shooting on 55% TS, along with his usual superb defense. +1.5ish RAPM.
I'd like to see him get more ballhandling and playmaking responsibilities as I think he's a really underrated passer, but I think Clarkson ISOs and Lue's stubbornness will hold him back in that regard. I have no doubt we'll mainly use Cedi as an off the ball shooter (just like we did this past year) despite that not being his ideal role at all.
I definitely think he has the potential to be a 17/5/5 guy in a few years but it won't be with the Cavs. It'll be on a team like San Antonio or Utah that has far better player development teams, knows how to optimize their players, and specializes in international guys. I mean we still have Damon Jones as our shooting coach for crying out loud. The coaching/training staff that Gilbert has put together for this franchise is straight up embarrassing.

That seems pretty modest really, I expect him to have a breakout season esp if Hood isn't brought back.
I think this org is way too high on Cedi to let him go , but I agree they need some turnover tweaks to the staff.

Re: Cedi Osman Potential?
The biggest thing with Cedi is his outside shot. If he can improve on that, he's got a shot at being a great player.

Re: Cedi Osman Potential?
one thing you can rely on him is his mindset. a few days ago he has a conversation about turkish basketball. i easily realized that he has developed so much in cleveland. his self confidence and determination is in a different level right now comparing to last summer. i hope he will be a long term beloved figure for cleveland. he is a hard worker player and a strong character. i hope he can develop himself a suitable player to set offence alongside with high-tempo.

Cedi and Sexton are the future...Atlanta is gonna regret passing over Sexton for Trae Young in my long term opinion.

I was watching the Slovenia:Turkey game live yesterday and I was impressed by Cedi. He really is a big guy now, seems like he's spent much time in the gym. I think that he'll be a starter for many years in the league
