I’m looking forward to witnessing the very first NBA match up of Trae Young versus Collin Sexton live in person.

We'll also get a sense of how good or bad this team is after that game.

Cavs are +1.3 with Love on and -44.7 with him off for an on/off of +46.0

They've been sunk in both games by putrid stretches from the bench.

It's pretty obvious but Cavs fans let their frustrations get the better of them. Kevin Love is never going to be a 7 foot two-way big who can protect the rim and power through contact. That's not who he is. But you don't get to trade the parts of Kevin's game that you don't like and keep the rest.

Love and Hill are the only two reliably good passers on the team now. He had seven assist last night. You can make up for some of the 18 boards he pulled down last night but there's a good chance you're going to lose half of them. Because Love has difficulty finishing through contact, teams foul him all the time. While it's not always called, it's called a lot and you don't get to pocket his 10-12 FT attempts per game if you trade him. Finally, he can space the floor and you don't get keep the 2-3 three pointers he's going to average. The truth is he finds a way to make his eFG% respectable even on those nights when he's not shooting well and there aren't a whole lot of players in the league who can do that.

I think Love is gonna shoot a ****ton of free throws this year. The Cavs seem like they're gonna basically run the offense through him in the post and a lot of the small ball 4s that will be guarding him are really overgrown 2s that have never defended postups in their lives. They're gonna make mistakes and Love is crafty enough to turn those into freebies.

And then he should have some actual good shooting nights too.

Wouldn't Kyle Korver be much better for the starting lineup than Rodney Hood?

Korver can't play at the pace we're looking to play at but I'd support moving Clarkson into the starting line up in place of Hood.
