I'm not against converting him to a standard deal, would be an underwhelming move to be sure.
I'd still like to sign one 10 day guy, let the buyout market fully develop and then if there is still nothing, can go the Travers route for one of the final 2 spots.
I need to see more of Travers in meaningful games before I consider him. So far outside of one good garbage time he hasn't shown up in his NBA minutes.
Now's an ideal time to bring up a guy from the Charge (Bernard, Hunt, Tomlin, etc.) and see if they can keep their head above in the NBA, if we don't have a buyout target. (I'm surprised there haven't been any buyouts yet.)
Also, some names that have been in the NBA but aren't right now: Robert Covington, Keita Bates-Diop, Reggie Bullock, Danilo Gallinari, Nassir Little. Not anyone that might be big contributors but possibly reasonable insurance pieces on the deep bench. Covington, Bates-Diop, and Little are playing in some FIBA games for USA Basketball, so we might get to see them in some semblance of shape soon.
