Wut? It was a collective effort, that's the whole point.

Cavs woulda killed for a guy Toppin's to play 17 MPG in that series so Mobley and Allen weren't so gassed.

Mitchell Robinson inflicted a lot of the damage but the Knicks were gang rebounding to be sure, can't just pick and choose who fits your narrative lol

Point being, Mitchell Robinson tore us up. Obi Toppin, not so much.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Everyone.

Robinson, Hart, Hartenstien, Toppin, Randle.

It wasn't a 1 man show. It was the fact they had fresh bodies every quarter while Mobley and Allen could hardly run up the floor and all goofball Jb could say after getting gentleman's swept with 0 adjustments was the guys had to work on their conditioning... LOL

You're shooting 40% there, so I guess you could do worse.

Sure thing man, whatever helps you sleep at night lol

It doesn't change the fact of how bad the Cavs got killed on the boards by the Knicks.

12 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Knicks 152 defense rebounds, Cavs 140 defense rebounds.

Knicks 75 offensive rebounds, Cavs 46 offensive rebounds.

There's no silver lining here, lmfao

Robinson pretty much dominated the Cavaliers on the boards. Toppin and Hartenstein were able to provide NY with fresh bodies who could play good minutes, but it was ultimately Robinson who did all the damage. Without those guys being able to provide him with a lot of rest though, he would not have been able to dominate in the fashion that he did.

Robinson was pushing people around and getting away with it, but the problem at its root was schematic. Allen kept helping and moving out of position when nobody could help him with Robinson.

That Knicks trade probably levels them above the Cavs.

Without Mitch Rob idk. I think OG is an easy upgrade from RJ, but they've also lost Quickley who they don't really have a replacement for.

We will have to see how they do in the coming months

That Knicks trade shuts down their ability to make a Mitchell trade until the off-season, which diminishes any return we could get in-season from elsewhere.

I'd much rather get O.G. back in a S&T than a package centered around IQ in a S&T. Frankly, moving Mitchell in season was always going to prove difficult.

Did the S&T rules get relaxed in the new CBA or is OG's matching value stuck around his current contract plus 20%?

You're thinking of extensions. I'm pretty sure the only limitation surrounding S&Ts is the 4 year limit and smaller raises.

Will have to wait and see what the cap ramifications are, but I wonder if this sets them up nicely to add Mitchell via free-agency or ends up precluding it.

Paying OG the max is still a tricky decision for whoever cares to do it unless there's a another cap spike in the near future.
