Not trading a dollar for a few dimes

No interest in Kanter.

Trade Ideas - Part 2

Post#1424 » by Litany » Thu Jun 19, 2014 11:25 pm

Guy at probballdraft is saying Cavs approached Jazz with #1 for #5 and Derrick Favors. As a jazz fan I'm legit torn about this. Love Favors, and I feel like we can add an all-star at 5. But I like Parker and we wouldn't get him at 5.

Just wonder if i like the idea of Favors and Vonleh/Embiid/Gordon/Exum or just Parker.

Something's up boys If Jack is swapped for Thornton, it's to get rid of money for a FA signing Something is up I just don't know who's the target

I'm hoping that Thornton goes directly to Utah as salary filler for Favors. If Kyrie has issues with Waiters, he's really not going to like playing with Thornton.

Uh, Thornton makes almost $3m more than Jack this year. If it's a straight up swap, it gives the Cavs less FA money this offseason, but more in 2015 as Thornton expires after this upcoming year.

It'd be a deal purely for fit. An extra PG/SG for a needed extra wing player. Makes some sense in that regard.

Is clearing Cap under consideration when it comes to the number 1 assuming you guys want Embiid?

Celtics fan here, a report came out saying C's were interested in #1 overall so I came up with a trade I thought would be equal in value. Would you guys be willing to do

- #6, #8 (Rondo traded to SAC for 8), maybe a future first?
- Kelly Olynyk
- Jeff Green

for #1 and Jarret Jack/Alonzo Gee?

Not really interested in any offer for number 1 unless we get a star player back and lebron is commiting to our team. Besides that pipe dream id rather try build with wiggins or Parker

I have a bad feeling we're trading this pick for spare parts. Damn if we don't pass on Wiggins and end up with two mediocre mid-level rookies and a rental player. Different year, same nonsense.

Can't wait to buy tickets to see Nik Stauskas next year.

...is it really that awful? you are getting 6, 8, a future first, a salary dump of your two worst players/contracts and better players. What do you realistically expect, Chris Paul?

Is the Magic's offer of 4, 10 and Afflalo that much significantly better?

This is on the same level of terrible as Afflalo, #4, and #12.

You don't trade down just to do it.

That's like saying is a D+ better than a D.
