- #6, #8 (Rondo traded to SAC for 8), maybe a future first?
- Kelly Olynyk
- Jeff Green

for #1 and Jarret Jack/Alonzo Gee?
This is awful.

...is it really that awful? you are getting 6, 8, a future first, a salary dump of your two worst players/contracts and better players. What do you realistically expect, Chris Paul?

Is the Magic's offer of 4, 10 and Afflalo that much significantly better?

Considering that it's the #4 not the #6 as the high pick and that Arron Afflalo is actually good at basketball I'd say yes it certainly is.

Sam Amico just on the radio saying that the Cavs are asking for Oladipo included in the Orlando package.

This is the approach I was hoping we would take. We might as well ask everyone for ridiculous returns and then just sit back and wait to see if someone bites. If not you stay happy getting your favorite prospect.

Oladipo? Why? They should be asking for Nikola.

I think the only way the Cavs do the number 1 for the #6,#8, future 1st and Mclemore is if they have a side deal to move back into the 3-5. I can see this being the case with Philly. If Embid and Exum are supposed to go 3 and 4 Philly doesnt value them as much as other teams with Carter Williams(Big Guard) and Noel(big man w/questionable health). They can move down for the 6th and Waiters(replaced by Mclemore) or Thompson. Cavs end up ensuring they get Embid and the 8th and a future pick with Mclemore.

This is the only way I see this happening and the Cavs not looking foolish.

Much like turner afflolo didn't have as much value as people thought. Still a good player IMO but not worth any of the proposed trades for him

Sixers fan: Thad for Bennett?

Post#1449 » by averagegymrat1 » Sat Jun 28, 2014 3:21 am

Just wondering where Thad Young could go now.

Was wondering if you guys would do this deal or something similar with a 2nd rounder or other players thrown in there.

Probably not. We wasted a number 1 pick on Bennett I would prefer to see how he plays in shape, un injured and with some confidence. He's values too low to be worth trading.

Saw this deal floated on the Wolves forum. I am not a fan. What do you guys think?

Nikola Pekovic -
L.R Mbah a Moute
Chase Budinger
Barea

for

Luol Deng (S&T) -
Anderson Varajeo
Bend the knee.

I like it assuming we do not get Lebron to fill out our roster. We need size in the paint and Pek gives us that.

Would you rather have Pek or Hawes?

if we can get Hawes at around 6m per (we can't), then... I'll take both because Pek is 18/9 center making 12m a year with 4 years left on his deal.

Pek's not a rim protector but he's not a bad defender though, and he's HUGE, 6'11 290lbs, I'd love to have him on this team.

Luc is type of wing defender we need if we're going to play wiggins at 2, Barea is a great PG backup, Chase is a good 3 point shooter, very athletic, capable of defending could be a good 3&D for us.

BUT, that trade would be writing on the wall for waiters.

Hawes is absolutely turrible on defense. I would just rather not resign him and play a Varejao/Zeller/Tristan/Bennett rotation if no one else is available in free agency.

Pek for Deng in a S&T I'd consider but I'm not taking the rest of that garbage.

Why would Minnesota trade for Deng when they know Love is itching to walk. People make fun of Cleveland, but people are apathetic towards Minnesota. No one cares about them, so why would Deng want to waste a couple years carrying Rubio to a 32-50 record and living in one of the worst basketball cities?

They think they can build a contender so Love will stay. It would be like their Jamison trade; except they aren't even close to contending.

It is interesting to see a team held hostage from the other point of view isn't it?
