Why would Minnesota trade for Deng when they know Love is itching to walk. People make fun of Cleveland, but people are apathetic towards Minnesota. No one cares about them, so why would Deng want to waste a couple years carrying Rubio to a 32-50 record and living in one of the worst basketball cities?

They think they can build a contender so Love will stay. It would be like their Jamison trade; except they aren't even close to contending.

It is interesting to see a team held hostage from the other point of view isn't it?

Best thing they could do is trade for Waiters.

I feel like Waiters is NBA's best kept secret right now & a team that trades for him will be in for a surprise/potential franchise player.

No one on the Wolves board would touch Waiters with a ten-foot pole. They, like everyone else is too convinced he is a bust.

No one has time for facts.

Well, they wouldn't be Wolves if they did now would they?

There's a reason why some franchises stay mediocre.

I'd ignore the facts if I drafted Derrick Williams, Johnny Flynn, and Wesley Johnson. I don't care to go further back.

Billy King could have done a better job with that team than Kahn.

If you had to go through that, never make the playoffs, and stand to lose the team's best player since Garnett, you might be upset all the time too.

I recently lived in Minneapolis and love the city. As such, I want to see the Wolves succeed. But, man, are their fans are a sour lot on occasion.

I once suggested on their boards that they try a complete rebuild because that team as built will never contend, EVEN with Love. Got my head ripped off.

I always laugh when I see the resident idiots from LA, NY and Miami, mock Cleveland or Minneapolis for not being LA/NY/MIA.

I have lived in many cities, Miami, Cleveland, Minneapolis included, and can honestly say Minneapolis is the second best (live in and love Seattle) in most measures that count to regular, non-millionaire NBA types. In fact, LA, NY and Miami are fetid ****-holes and awful places to live. Especially Miami.

You can really enjoy Miami if you can ignore few things.

Which I'm very much capable of, lol.

A few things, like: The God awful heat, the humidity, the grinding poverty, the traffic, no English spoken, the snowbirds, the high-cost of living, the terrible sports fans and lack of educated populace? Yes.

I mean truly. I spent a year in Iraq and it wasn't as hot as Miami.

I managed the heat by only going out at night.

Same with humidity.

Same with poverty, it's harder to see in the dark. This is interesting one though, everyone talks bout Cleveland poverty, no, Miami is POOR, you also have very rich on open display which makes it that much worse, the contrast is kind of sad.

& traffic is better during the night.

etc. I don't really talk to sports fan either way (i have a thread about this on GB) as they're always unintelligent, no matter where I go.

The lack of English is by far the worst part, not being white & they automatically assume you speak Spanish, yeah, that is by far the worst, just constant Spanish, ugh.

I admit, I am biased. Grew up in Alaska (mostly). If find the cold and snow wonderful. Planning my next vacation in Minnesota snowmobiling and ice fishing off Lake Superior this January.

Cavs are reportedly unwilling to move TT. I sincerely hope that this is nonsense because he shares the same agent as LBJ.
