So far this season between the Knicks, Lakers, and Hawks they've paid him a combined $659,454 against the cap.

Well, as expected, the Windler NBA saga has finally concluded.

For a minute there it looked like Windler had a chance to become an elite shooter for us with solid length and athleticism.
Then he just quit playing basketball lol

I really thought he could be an impact player, a rich man's Strus. 6'6" with a 6'10" wingspan, plus athlete who could shoot and put the ball on the deck a bit.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

The potetinal was there, the health and toughness were not.

Any time a team drafts multiple first rounders, its hard to hit on all of them. Windler and KPJ didn't pan out.

If you were a 6'4" shooting guard, where would you have the Cavs on your list?

Not many players have the mindset that they're going to walk in with their non guaranteed contract and earn playing time over a small horde of similar players all on guaranteed deals, and these signings are usually about playing time and fit first.

Walker will be playing in Maine, it's an exhibit 10 deal.

He might be playing in Maine, it's non-guaranteed. It may not be more than a training camp invite where presumably he'll have a chance to try to win a roster spot.

Anyway, I'm just pointing out players can be weird about how many players are seemingly competing for the same spot. Maybe we're saving the remaining spots for Okoro and IMobley.

100% not Brobley, that guy is awful.

They can save a spot for Okoro still need 1 more. Or 2 more, if he holds out into camp or into the season.

If Walker was strictly a camp invite, it would be an exhibit 9.

Looks like TT and Okoro are getting our last roster spots.

No, nothing official. He's just out of time.

I mean, he can always hold out. TT and JR did into camp. Andy held out into the season. We stole McCaw from the Warriors who held out into the season.

He's not out of time. Media day is in 2.5 weeks but not a hard deadline.

There's no benefit to him holding out and a ton of downside. If he misses the deadline on the Q.O., he's a RFA again next summer. The Cavs could use the space and still retain his rights.

What is the QO deadline? I'm not seeing it on Google.

Ah nice, just saw it. That deadline can be extended by the Cavs + Okoro though. If his reps are negotiating in good faith, even if they can't come to a deal, i assume the Cavs extend it.

P
Did we extend it with TT? I don't think he's free to sign elsewhere if we decline to extend.
