Very strange especially given their recent skid has occurred with Morant out.

A team could pick him up as a consultant for the playoffs, especially to help plan against Memphis.

Like i pointed out on the GB, him and Kenny coached on the 60 win Hawks team together, I'd let him be around the team, if he wanted.

If Andrew Carr is on the board in the 2nd round, Cavs gotta draft him.

BREAKING: Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone has been relieved of duties, league sources tell me. David Adelman will take over.

Looks like the Grizzlies strategy of canning the head coach just before the playoffs is catching on.

Might as well get a look at the next in line assistant before some other team poaches him I guess.

I suppose Johnnie Bryant could end up as the next Knicks coach if Thibs crashes and burns, if so I wouldn't mind Malone or Jenkins as lead assistant if they decide to chill before taking a new job.

Indiana needs to go 3-0 and the Knicks need to go 0-3 for them to overtake the Knicks for 3 seed. Indiana faces us twice and Orlando in between. The Knicks face Detroit, then us, then Brooklyn.

Do we care if the Knicks stay in the 3 seed or would we rather try to let them slip to 4? Indiana might be playing better but New York is a team built to contain wings like Tatum and Brown.

Detroit could take the 5 seed if they win out and MIL loses out, which is more likely than you think since Detroit and Milwaukee play each other in the final two games of the season.

I hope Orlando wins their play-in game for the 7 seed.

I think for easiest path we only want to play one of the Celtics or Knicks on our way to the Finals and like you said also want a Knicks Celtics match-up to potentially get the Knicks in the conference finals.

I don't really care that much about easiest path because I just want us to win whoever we face, but if I had to choose easiest realistic path:

Bulls then Pistons then Knicks then Western Conference team not named the Thunder

I think the Pacers might be underrated.

The Pacers started off the year 9-14, but they've quietly gone 39-17 since and have good wins over us and the Celtics. Meanwhile the Knicks are 26-19 after starting 24-10 and have zero wins over us, Boston, and the Thunder.

Knicks aren't gonna go 0-3.

We'll probably rest some combination of guys and the Nets have zero incentive to win.

Celtics having to play Magic then Knicks would be sweet.

I don't know how much you like SRS or Dunks & Three's EPM, but Knicks outclass them in both (much more in SRS, fairly close in EPM).

I do think the Pacers are underrated and maybe I am giving too much credit to the Knicks, but bc there is history between the Cavs and Knicks I just think that series is different than the numbers

Elsewhere our buddy Lamar Stevens went for a career high 31 points.

He also made NBA top 10 plays of the day. As did Jalon Tyson for his dunk.

Doesn't help Suggs is out, but yes. Just no good offensive role players on the whole roster around Paolo and Franz.

I think the Pistons have a real chance to give the Knicks a few games more than they want. I am unsure about the Magic doing the same to the Celtics, but the longer both series, the better

Knicks/Pistons is so disjointed, almost no rhythm.
