Calm those waters, Senator... We're approaching the Holiday season... The NBA is here...We're not dead yet... Lost of positive things are happening here...

You're bringing us down with all this clinical depression...

Ha yeah it's not that serious. I have no problem with people putting down our players- I do myself a lot. But when I see just plain ole hate being spewed towards our fanbase and team I can't help but say something. Some posters in this thread seem fair enough and made thoughtful comments. I have no problem with Cavs' fans. I just point out small-mindedness when I see it, and I just happened to be checking out your board and ran across some.

look BB, it was more of a commentary on the retards in washington ruining our country, I didnt think you would take it so personally, unless you are THE bill bradley. someone else had called you senator prior.

And your fanbase is widely regarded as one of the most myopic on these boards along the raptor fan. maybe not necessarily your fault, but it is what it is. and as for running down your team, well... overpaid? too many to list, me first players? Nate, Stephon, Eddy, Craw . Overweight? Eddy. malcontent? Nate, stephon, eddy, craw. No D? same list, legend in their own mind, same list. These are the players most Knick fans want to unload on us.

I notice you didnt refute what I said about the knick players in the first message, you just resorted to name calling. Childish and ignorant? Look in the mirror, and while you are at it try growing a little thicker skin.

Hey L&H, do you think he knows that you were the one who started the "No Kincks Policy"? Should we tell him? I thought the Dr. Seuss reference was if not funny, at least original unlike the 1000's of Knicks/Cavs trade proposals we have seen here in the last year or so.

Not sure if Senator B. knows this ??? But, what I know is his Knickerbockers just lost to the sinking Spurs without Parker and Ginobili..

So, Knick fans, please, when you curve it over this way to the Cavs board to propose a trade, proceed to get an answer that you're not looking for, and become offended that fans of the team you're looking to trade with doesn't want your sucky players--- Please, remember one thing before proposing a trade so you don't have to deal with all the follow up emotions...

If you keep this in mind at all times, we won't have these issues...

So, lets just chalk this up as a Knicks fan FAU PAUX and move it along, cause there's nothing to see here !!!!!

NO KNICKS !!!! 8-)

And tonight the Knicks beat Memphis by 29. Fact is the Knicks are 5 and 3 and are a much better team this season than under Isiah Thomas. The value of our players will rise as they put up better numbers and we keep winning. That's just reality.

I'm not sure why you are still responding to me. I was done with you after I pointed out your immaturity and poor English. You seem to be the one emotionally affected because you keep referring to me.

You know, I don't admire poster's who try to claim some sort of credibility or superiority by claiming to be the Grammar police. If you don't like his so-called immaturity -- why are you answering his posts then? Your posts started out alright in this thread and have degenerated since then too which could be taken as a sign of immaturity too, but I will take it as an emotional response.

Congratulations that the Knicks have had a good start, but it is still early in the season. It will be interesting to see how the Knicks adjust in 20 games or so when teams have scouted them and start to defense their tendencies. I suppose other up-tempo teams like Golden State might view the Knicks players more highly now -- but I wouldn't count on it.

Hey, lets please refrain from the namecalling and snide remarks. Clearly, nobody is above the fray when they are in fact the ones making the snide remarks. So let's just end it.

I think we were just defending our turf a little here outty, and I may have been a bit edgy, though I think an outsider coming here and critizing our no knick policy without knowing it is somewhat tounge in cheek should get a little tweeking dont you? I was fine until the name calling started, and I believe most who have been here for a while know that I usually dont get involved in much back and forth BS. BTW the red font was a bit intimidating.

But seriously, the Knicks that, to me, have positive value for the Cavs are:

David Lee
Danilo Gallinari
Wilson Chandler

That's it. Plus, they don't even hold that much value to the Cavs that we'd be willing to take on one of your albatross contracts.

The Knicks and Cavs just aren't good trading partners.

The main bummer in there is Curry, who like Ben has a major part of his game missing. However I can live with a Big who's just D and Boards..no point in a big with no D or boards. Nate Robinson gets uinderrated isn't one of the prima donna's. They are playing better with D'Antoni because he's parked most of Isaiah's Folly. Inspired by Steinbrenner, the Knicks planned to buy a title. Happily that perversion failed.

The Knick "plan" to melt down and snag LeBron...is dumb. Minus Zach-Lee-Robinson etc..they are last place. Nike is NOT going to subsidize the Knicks, conspire to bypass cap rules and face a huge backlash, lawsuits, boycotts etc. Being in whatever market.....he could play in Toledo and he is still LeBron. NYK only THINKS they are a threat. Portland is probably the competition.
CENSORED... No comment.

Well it looks like the Knicks found a way to get rid of some of their untradeable contracts, LOL. I imagine that you will be hearing and reading about Lebron to NY rumors for the next couple of years.

^ You know it's kind of amusing seeing some knick fans celebrating sucking for the next two seasons and deflating deals that make some fans believe in fools gold as the following news link suggests:

Waiting for star free agents is fool's gold
Teams are crazy to sacrifice present for chance to lure James, Kobe, Wade

Imagine plunking down $50, $100, perhaps even $1,000 or more for an NBA ticket, only to see a curtain displaying the mere silhouette of a player at center court.

Imagine the public-address announcer enhancing the tease by proclaiming, "Fans, behind that curtain could be LeBron James! … Or Kobe Bryant! … Or Dwyane Wade!

Then, in one of those barely-audible, car-financing tones, the disclaimer is added, "… of course, you'll have to wait 21 months for that, so please sit patiently, and remember, those season-ticket invoices are in the mail."

Just ask Clippers fans, who could have sworn they had Bryant the last time Kobe was a free agent.

Collective-bargaining rules allow for longer contracts and a lot more money if a free agent stays in place. It is why LeBron, Carmelo, Bosh and Wade went for rookie extensions instead of immediate exposure to the market.

To be actively selling July 2010 to fans in November 2008 is to render the coming weeks, months, years meaningless. Only in the NBA do you find yourself wishing away two years of your life.

Fool's Gold

You see, LBJ is a marvelous prize... but putting all of your eggs in his basket is just a bad bet. Tank to get him and clear cap space, and you make your franchise look like a loser. Pretending that he won't just stay home (especially if, say, Mo Williams works out, and he gets any kind of help from his bigs) ignores what any number of NBA superstars have done for years -- which is to say, keep the market guessing, but eventually take the maximum money at home.

And that's why NBA championships are won in the draft, or at the trading table... but not the free agent market.

http://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/ ... old/368551

James says he's happy to stay with Cavs

“When I make that decision, it will be based on winning multiple championships,” James said before Tuesday’s game at the Izod Center vs the Nets. “If it’s moving elsewhere, I will have to weigh all my options.” The New Jersey media seemed to be obsessed with trying to get James to say he'd like to come to New Jersey to play for the Nets, but LBJ wasn't ready to fall for the trap.

“I’m happy where I’m at right now. We’ll see what happens in two years.”

As we've stated here before, the Cavs can offer LeBron more money than any other team in the league. While James has never seemed like the type that would stay in Cleveland or go elsewhere for the last dime, it's nice for Cavs fans to actually know that if it does come to cash, Cleveland is where he'll stay.

^We are not celebrating sucking. We are celebrating finally getting back to fiscal responsibility after a long and painful Isiah Thomas era of mismanagement. We are also celebrating that we will be under the cap enough to sign one and maybe two big-time free agents. The thing about NY that Isiah never took advantage of is that it is a desirable destination for a lot of players. Now we will be in a position to take advantage of that.

As for Lebron, hell yeah, Knick fans are excited about that possibility. Why wouldn't we be? There is a lot of speculation that Lebron might want to go to the Knicks, so it's not such a farfetched notion. And if he doesn't come to the Knicks, we will still be in a position to bring in other star-level players.

You're a Knicks fan. Your team and it's players suck ass. You can go ahead, jump back in your ride, cruise on I-80, find your way back to the New York board, marinate within that mecca of basketball, and absorb the greatness that is the 2008-2009 New York Knicks.

I think he'd rather marinate and absorb the greatness that will be the 2010-2011 New York Knicks.

You're going to be lucky to get such big Free Agents as Tyson Chandler and a 57 year old Shaquille O'Neal. NY isnt all that great.

Not sure what greatness in New York the poster was referring too either -- I know it won't be the Knicks. Orlando thought they had Tim Duncan and he returned to the Spurs too and we know what happened to Orlando after signing Hill and McGrady -- their just isn't any guarantees even after signing free agents.

Plus, there are billions of people in China who won't view LeBron any differently whether he's in New York or Cleveland. Most of his potential consumers around the world won't know the difference. They'll want to buy his jersey and shoes regardless of the colors.

I'm not saying he isn't going to sign with New York; all I'm saying is that when people say James is definitely leaving Cleveland, that he's made his decision already, I don't buy it as anything close to a sure thing. And you shouldn't, either, because it makes no sense for him to decide right now. He may be leaning one way or the other, or he may even be promoting rumors of his departure in order to pressure the Cavs to keep improving the roster because he wants to stay and win championships in Cleveland.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/w ... /?bcnn=yes

"I am focused on the team that I am on right now and winning a championship," he said. "So it gets funny at times, but I don't think about making a change at this point. I am focusing on the team I have here and the relationship I have with the Cavs."

At an early-voter registration rally last month in Cleveland, James made his strongest comments to date about wanting to stay in his home state.

"I love you Cleveland," he said. "I love Ohio and I'm not going anywhere."

James said he is satisfied with the moves the Cavaliers have made this past off-season, acquiring guard Mo Williams in a trade with Milwaukee and feels Cleveland can make another run at a title.
