I not a big fan of AL Jefferson however to basiclly dismiss Big AL as a inferior player to the likes of Andy is kind of delusional

Andys best yr was this past yr and he still fell way short of Al Jefferson's worst yr. Now I love all the intangibles Andy brings but we can debate opinion but can not argue the truth and these numbers tell the truth
I whole heartily understand the affection for Andy's play I'm a huge fan but some times I think we over value him as a player

Once Antwan Jamison cap hold is removed from the Cavaliers books, I wonder if they would be interested in Scola's services? I think he would provide some veteran leadership to go with their young guns. I think Scola's offensive attributes would blend well there. He has a polished offensive game. Can score in the post and from mid-range. He hustles and runs the floor and can finish in transition.

He is signed to a good contract too. He has 3 years 30 million left on his deal. However, the last year of his contract is only partially guaranteed for 3.5 million I believe.

I was thinking maybe for a TPE and Miami's 2013 1st Round Pick.

The Rockets are overloaded at the PF position and this trade would enable the young players more minutes to develop. We could use the cash to re-sign Courtney Lee & Marcus Camby.

Thoughts?

Cavs are terrible and in the early stages of a rebuild. They aren't going to give up assets (however minor they be, like a MIA 1st) for 32yo PFs. Especially when they drafted a PF at #4 just a year ago.

Might be an ok role player off the bench (assuming youre a lakers fan) but i wouldnt hope for much more out of him. Will score abit at not great efficiencey and hes a horrid defender. Decent re bounder and terrible free throw shooter. Hes a decent enough dude but i never found him to be a very good player for us, he had his moments. Maybe a very reduced roll would suit him at this point. Your bench isnt great so it couldnt hurt. I thought he wanted to go to the bobkittens though.

Jamison will be a liability defensively in pretty much any circumstance. He also really isn't a very good shooter and can't even hit free throws. I think he will do better as a reserve off the bench with a very limited role and the possibility of more open shots, though, and he is great in the locker room.

What did the Cavs end up doing with the 14.5 Mil TPE from a couple years back? Did they use it or did it expire?

I tried my best to research it on google, but came up with nothing.

We just let it expire. It is pretty useless unless you plan to do a trade where you are taking on a lot of salary with no outgoing players. :-?

Thanks man. We have a 17 mil TPE at our disposable. I was just curious how past teams have used their huge TPE's.

Did a season on 2k13 pulled off some realistic moves. let the season ride out finished with the 6th or 7th worst record.

Let Boobie Gibson, Omri Casspi, Luke Walton walk.
Resigned Semardo Samuels to a 1yr 850k deal

Draft day traded Anderson Varjao and a future 2nd to Milwaukee for the 15th pick and Larry Sanders
Realistic would be great for the Bucks. They wont get a difference maker at 15, Varejao gives them another defensive big to pair with Ilyasova, Henson and Ekpe to build around. (Upgrade 2.0 to Dalembert) Sanders is a bust throw in.

With the 6th pick I drafted Isaiah Austin as the center of the future. Shotblocking bigman who has handles and game that stretches beyond the 3 pt line. Think a more aggressive Barganani who is great on defense, but very very raw. Will split the 5 with Zeller.
At 15 I picked Adonis Thomas as a utility wingman. Can shoot, rebound, is tough on defense and extremely athletic. Not amazing at any one thing but will be a solid player.
I shipped the Cavs pick (30th go figure) to Denver in exchange for Jordan Hamilton. Hamilton is a skilled player, first round pick in 2011 who is buried behind Iggy, Chandler, Gallinari, Brewer on the depth chart. Gives us an outside threat on the wing.

C. Zeller/Austin/Sanders
F. Tristan/Samuels
F. Thomas/Hamilton/Gee
G. Waiters/Miles/Gee
G. Irving/Pargo

Added shot blocking with Isaiah Austin and Larry Sanders, a Byron Scott type bulldog in Adonis Thomas and improved wing scoring in Jordan Hamilton (more talented than Gee/Miles)
