Sounds like all of this is coming from Boston.

So it sounds like the Celtics want Love, and the Knicks would like to move Melo, but the Cavs aren't interested. Which is a good thing.

I don't see why the Cavs should be interested.

God I hope all the rumours are bogus. Cavs need to benefit and not just the other trader
The only blockbuster that I can think of we're both teams win, friends are happy and so are most of the other players is:
Cavs move Kyrie and Love to the Clippers for CP3 and Blake
Cle has more Dee, has more chance to win now, gets rid of soft players, and Bron Blake and Paul are happy
LA gets ride of issues and gets younger talent (their not going anywhere anyway this year so why not get younger )

LeBron seems more effective when he is having fun and playing with his friends, would you do a multiple team deal that landed Cleveland Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love on draft night if the post-season ended with Cleveland falling short of a championship again?
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

There is no need to trade Love if we're trading Kyrie for CP3.

Poor mo. He was actually really good when he was starting for us he's just been starved of opportunity.
I'm not agaisnt trading him but I feel bad for him. He came back here to win a title and he's a good guy.

This.
Probably even made some sacrifices to join the cavs. He could have played somewhere else as a backup pg and got consistent minutes

Any realistic way we could get Tyson Chandler from the Suns? And would he go far to shore up the defense?
Talk has been almost everyone in Phoenix is available and Chandler's 3 year 39 million remaining is a reason most teams won't take a chance on a guy his age.. But if Gilbert is all about the now and willing to put his money where his mouth is one would think Chandler could go a long way toward helping us win right now and next season.... no?

Kyrie most of the time when he shoots starts with the ball and then dribbles a while then shoots. -statistical analysis from a 'longtime' Cavs fan (June 2017)

well chandler definitely has that championship pedigree.

would definitely help the cavs and make them more lethal on offense.
tbh honest I could see the cavs making crazy changes or just staying the same.
I could see them giving up love, mozgov, williams, varejao
and adding gasol/chandler/koufos (one or two of those guys), carmelo, kyle korver, afflalo, ryan anderson

I'll be happy if we sit tight at the deadline. I'd like a sober reflection this off season.

Re: Trade Ideas - Part 2
I think we should sit tight. The rotation is solid and I'm reluctant to give up assets for the 12th man on the roster. If the Cavs feel the need to add depth, there will be a round of buyouts that are likely to include Joe Johnson, David Lee, Andrei Bargiani.
Additionally, there are a number of free agents currently available who can man the 15th roster spot: Tony Wroton, Larry Sanders, Carlos Boozer, etc.
The Cavs have two holes in my opinion. One: a tall PG that can run the office and let Kyrie play off the ball more; an athletic wing that can guard multiple positions.
On Mo Williams: With Kyrie's injury history and Dellavedova's lack of offense running ability (he's a good player, not a floor general), I'd be hesitant to move Mo Williams without another capable PG coming back in a deal. Had we Mo Williams in the finals last year, that series could have been much different. There were 147 minutes played by James Jones, Mike Miller, Kendrick Perkins and Joe Harris that contributed 26 total points. The Cavs were outscored by 43 points.

Maybe AV, maybe him. Hard to say. Andy could have asked for a reasonable extension given the fact that he had paid an insane amount of money given his injuries and the cap situation. He'd probably still be here just like Mo. That's why I don't feel "bad" about Andy. He took all the money he could and it made him a liability on the roster.
