The Cavs could have gotten a mid 1st rounder for Varejao before this draft and that was without tossing in a second and turned that down. So I don't see that happening.

Man, its 2K! Go out and sign Bynum, or trade for Aldridge or something.

That aside, as per usual I agree with Outtie. If Varejao is traded we'll get a better deal than that.

B mac and Outtie are on the money again. But one minor correction. Since Grant can't draft worth a crap between picks numbered 3 and 10 or so, please trade for existing players in the league. I'd love to rebuilt through the draft but please don't get us another # 4 pick this year. My heart can't take it. I'm too old for disapponting early but not no 1 or 2 first round picks.

Go Cavs!!! Do your best so we can plan for moves based on true fewer needs. If we still need everything but a pg after this year we're screwed.

Jonny Flynn's contract with Melbourne of the Australian league has an out clause for the NBA, according to sources.

Flynn has never fully recovered to his prior form following hip surgery.

I don't like trading Andy right now, but wouldn't mind if we did trade him to a team I liked.

And wouldn't it be worth it to try to grab Wilson Chandler for next to nothing? I know he has years left on his deal, but he would be worth a shot. He's a better player than Gee, and he's 25 years old. Clearly out of place in Denver.

Doubt the Cavs have anything enticing to send for him. Nothing you'd want to part with anyways.

I'd be happy with one of the two and one of the picks.

The tax is 70.3 million and they look close to it, so I don't think they'd take Gibson

Never say never. Boobie had a nice night last night:

in 29 minutes he shot 6-12; 1-5 from the arc, and 3-3 at the line.

Nice time to show off. I'd love Lamb and PJ. More talented youth Yes!

I would have to say yes to that trade as well. Not to mention the predicted -6 wins (it would probably be more) would have the tankers cheering as well. I would also hate to see Andy go, but I just dont see a better package being available, PJ3 and Lamb are at least as good (potentially) as any pick that the Cavs could get for Andy, and I like OKC anyway, so helping them stack up against the Lakers and Heat is a plus in my book as well.

So what positions would PJ3 and Lamb play? And you want Perkins? Perkins is god awful.

PJ3 would play SF (maybe a backup behind Gee) and Lamb would play backup SG behind Waiters, something we are in need of. We have way too many undersized guards. Perkins? He may not be much of an offensive threat but he sure is better than Samuels and Leuer. Let's face it, Andy is 30 years old and he's missed quite a bit of games the last 2 years. He already missed a game this season due to a knee contusion and didn't look too good coming back. I love what he brings to the table. Love the intensity, intangibles, and hustle that he brings but I am extremely concerned of his injury problems. Why not trade him for some youth and lottery picks (PJ3 was supposed to be a lottery pick until his injury) while his value is still high? As far as Gibson's big game against OKC, those come every once in a while. I would not be surprised if he has a tough shooting night the next. He is definitely not reliable or consistent enough. It's just my opinion though..

What do you think of these two deals

Varejao, Luer, Sacramento Lottery Protected for Kendrick Perkins, Perry Jones, Reggie Jackson, Toronto Pick

Or

Varejao, Miles, Gibson, Orlando 2nd for Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger, Courtney Lee, 1rst

I don't do either of those deals.

I really don't think the Cavs are interested in trading aways firsts unless they are getting something bigger and that's just not the case here. Heck, they could have had Jones or Sullinger themselves.

Yea thats a good point about Sullinger. But with the OKC trade your at least getting a top 10 pick plus Perry. Kings pick is included to make OKC say yes basically
