and the Nets pick top 3 protected, if not conveyed Wolves get Cavs 2018 first and the 2020 2nd from Miami.

There is no way the Wolves do that.

little chance we would do it as well given the need for different position players being the only likely justification for moving the Nets pick instead of this type where we are just getting a slight upgrade at the same positions being sent out.(Butler is not that much of an upgrade overall giving up both J.R. and Crowder).
However given the shunting effect on Wiggins game playing along side Butler and Wiggins contract the Wolves will eventually have to move 1 of Butler or Wiggins and it will be much more difficult for them to move Wiggins given the Poison Pill Provision

Honestly, I have very little interest in any trades until we've seen what we've got with IT. Either we'll figure it out defensively with him on the court, or not. I don't see PG or Boogie getting put on the block before the deadline.

Frye comes off the books after this season. Shump & JR the season after. If LBJ leaves this summer, that's $33 million off the books. Half the league is trying to get out from under bad contracts. We'll be able to expedite any rebuild by selling off cap space and/or expiring contracts next year. Most of what other teams are offering don't move the needle against the Warriors.

Not sure how high Spurs are on him but I would think this would be a decent trade for them given Forbes and White already on the roster behind Parker & MIlls w/ their need for a big for the future.

If they feel this is overpay for Zizic I would consider also sending the 2020 Miami pick maybe even the Cavs own 1st this year.
Murray looks like he can be an impact player on this roster , not sure how anyone else sees him, but I see him as a rotation level player with starter potential longterm.

I haven't seen Murray play yet this year but Spurs rarely trade away their youngsters on first contracts.....they love value contracts,.

I've seen murray play multiple games and imo his decision making is very very poor. Pop tried hard to give him minutes while Tony was injured but murray kind of unplayable.

Would you guys trade shump, frye and cavs own 1st rounder for jj redick?

I wouldn't. Maybe JR and our 1st but I'm not 100% sold on trading any picks at the moment.

How about this:

3 team trade

Cavs send Thompson to Orlando
Cavs send JR to Orlando
Cavs send Jose to Orlando
Cavs send future 1st to Orlando
Cavs send Shump to Suns

Orlando sends Vuceic to Cavs
Orlando send D.J. to Cavs
Orlando sends Simmons to Cavs

Suns send Daniels to Cavs

2017/2018
IT / D.J.
Wade / Krover / Daniels
LBJ / Simmons
Love / Crowder / Green
Vucevic / Frye / Zizic

2018/2019

Cavs sign Danny Green to a 1 year deal

IT / D.J.
Green / Krover / Daniels
LBJ / Simmons
Love / Crowder
Vucevic / Zizic

What have you been smoking? Even if the Magic were dumb enough to trade Vujuvic, he wouldn't be a good fit with Love...no rim protection. If I was Cleveland I would target Noel from Dallas....could probably be had for cheaper too.

Simmons is the only player mentioned the Cavs might have interest in but he hasn't looked as good as he did under POP's guidance either so he may not be of interest either.
I'd take Iwundu for a future 2nd

Rim protection for what? Stop thinking having rim protection = wins. This is the new NBA.

Your right, mobility in bigs is #1...rim protection being an added bonus.

I don't have a lot of interest in trading any picks at this point. Whether LBJ stays or goes, this team has to get younger and more athletic. We need affordable players on rookie contracts.

I might trade our first and Frye for Noel but we seem solely focused on preserving spacing at the expense of defense and rebounding so I'm not even sure that's a good idea.

The only Orlando players i have any interest in are Gordon & Isaac and the Magic shouldn't trade either of them.

I'd give up Crowder and our own 1st 2021 lottery protected for this return.

Frye and Cavs 1st for Dedmon kind of solves all of the above.

I don't think Dedmon is enough a rim protector to warrant the first. I mean the point of Noel is that he's athletic enough to put on Durant for 10 mpg.

After the blowout loss to T-Wolves I think a larger level trade than previously needed is not out of the question . If it's just the change at pg impacting everything maybe it fixes itself in a couple weeks, but I don't know, they just look really bad right now.

What's the thought around Thomas and the PG position as a whole going into next year? Would you trade the expiring Thomas for someone locked in for a few years, even if it might be a slightly worse PG option on paper?

Basic premise: Thomas and a wing for Jeff Teague
