I think they do well if they have good complimentary players around them. Bron/Amare in NY does nothing, though.

I find it interesting that all these people telling Lebron to leave his home but why don't these people leave their home or their team:

Tell Derrick Rose to leave his hometown of Chicago when his contract is up and come to Cleveland to play with the King. See how he likes that and takes that.

Tell Dwayne Wade to leave Miami and come to Cleveland if he wants to play with the King. See how he likes that and takes that.

Tell Chris Bosh to leave Toronto and come to Cleveland if he wants to play with the King. See how he likes that and takes that.

Tell Jay-Z why don't you re-locate to Cleveland if you want to be near the King. See how he likes that and takes that.

I am so sick and tired of these two-faced self-serving people that are only looking out for themselves and want to pull Lebron out of his hometown for their good, not Lebron's good. It just makes me sick to my stomach. It'a all what they want and their selfish petty interests.

Am I the only one who sees that?

Heat fan here. I have great respect for your patience all season long. We never really had to deal with rumors of D-Wade leaving up until now and I could never really imagine how terrible it is to listen to a new "Where's LeBron headed"-rumor every day. I can't take three days of D-Wade rumors so I don't know how you guys can handle a season of LeBron rumors.

Personally, I always believed LeBron will stay in Cleveland and still think so. It's not just about the extra money but also about playing at home and playing for the same franchise your entire career. Winning a championship in Cleveland is so much more worth than accomplishing it in New York, New Jersey, Chicago or Miami. Despite his goal to become a billionair athlete I still believe that winning a championship in Cleveland is still his main goal. Your team can still improve via free agency and trades and in my opinion it doesn't take that much for the Cavs to get over the hump.

Another Heat fan (born in Columbus, Ohio - Go Buckeyes!) and I echo the sentiment, though I know it's been a lot longer than just this one year you guys have had to deal with this crap. I really hope it works out for you...

Bulls fan here.

Are people in Cleveland really sweating that LBJ is going to leave? To me, it seems like a foregone conclusion that he's staying with the Cavs, and I'm not sure he's actually considered playing any place else. A couple days ago I felt the Bulls had a chance to sign him, but my gut has definitely told me otherwise since then.

So, what's the feeling in Cleveland? Is everyone on pins and needles, or are you guys a lot more confident than you were a week ago that he's going to stay?

There is clearly some concern that LeBron would leave. But to be honest, things look better for us now than they did right after we were eliminated from the playoffs.

We all thought Lebron was going to stay until that epic collapse against Boston. After that a lot of doubt and worry was instilled in Cavs fans, and likewise of landing Lebron by other teams increased.

ESPN's Marc Stein

Don't read too much into LeBron's announcement delay

"Telling the world whom he wants to sign with Monday, with campers congregating in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, for the next three days, only would have worked for LeBron if he's definitely staying with the Cavs. How could he announce that he's leaving them in free agency and then proceed with the camp? Jittery Cavs fans will undoubtedly worry now that this is the latest LeBron's Leaving signal, but I would argue that you can't read that much into the delay. Not when so many folks around the league connected to the teams chasing LeBron believe, more and more, that staying with the Cavs is a far bigger possibility than many prognosticators believed going into the frenzy. If he's going to leave Ohio now -- and subject himself to untold scorn for the rest of his life when he goes home -- James naturally wants to be sure he's making the right call. It's understandable, at least to me, that he wouldn't want to rush that choice after cramming six visits into three days."

Thanks for the kind words. I hope Wade stays in Miami as well. Speaking for myself, I havent paid much attention to the media reports the last three years, and like some before said I wasnt as worried until the playoff ouster this year.
The only time I have stressed in when some a-hole has come on our board to troll. For some reason, I guess this board just feels like home to some of us Cavs fans, thats the only thing that has bothered me. I mean, I havent lost any sleep over any of this nor will I, but its like someone looking at your girlfriend, a glance is okay, but if someone stares at her it just makes you want to punch them in the face. So the trolls coming here have the same effect for me.

I'm sick of waiting and I know what LeBron is gonna do

Post#494 » by chicagofan23 » Mon Jul 5, 2010 5:56 pm

To me it seems like he's egging this on now, I believe he knows what he wants to do and that is to remain loyal to the city of Cleveland and remain a Cavalier. I'm 100% certain he will resign in Cleveland. So let's go back to our regular lives and get this free agency over with...Because being a Toronto native and a Bulls fan...I'm getting tired of it. I know come Wednesday night or Thursday, I will sign on RealGM and read the headline of "LeBron resigns with Cavaliers". Cool, now I can get back to life and chop hot girls which is a much more valuable asset.

The Raptors are apparently insisting on Noah being included in any S&T for Bosh from the Bulls. Chris Bosh unwilling to give up extra $$$. Does this put Cavs/Hou in lead?

Sounds like the tide is moving away from the #Bulls. Noah needed for Bosh AND no friend zone AND for $30 mil less? 2 much 2 give up for LBJ

Lebron will resign with cle. While lebron is loving the attention, D.Wade is making more of a mockery with his latest statement saying that his kids would be a major factor in his decision. If that were true, shouldn't he have stated that since the start of free agency or better yet when he opened his egotistical mouth towards the end of last season...

The latest FA buzz, including Cavs' increasing confidence they can re-sign LeBron James, in the blog, on NBA.com: http://bit.ly/asozwZ

A week ago, everyone just knew that the Heat were going to not only keep Dwyane Wade, but Wade was bringing LeBron James and Chris Bosh with him. And everyone knew James was out of Cleveland. And everyone just knew that the Knicks were dead in the water and wouldn't be able to attract anyone of import, even with two max-level contracts to offer.

Just imagine what we'll know next week.

Never have so many guessed so incorrectly so often.

In comes the Independence Day weekend, and all of a sudden, the Cavaliers are not only privately, quietly confident that they've managed, somehow, to stem the tide, and have a good shot of keeping James, but have ideas of fixing the rest of their roster next season with the likes of Ray Allen and Brendan Haywood.
