Idk if i agree with the article that is means those 2 are the finalists. They were the first 2 rumored names, so makes sense they're the first in the building.

jb is petty for this lol

Yikes... not a good look from JB. I guess he's allowed to openly shade his former players now, but probs not a great look shading a guy that probs kept you in a job for a few years by helping anchor a top NBA defense

For sure targeted Allen but Mitchell caught some stray shade too.

He didn't single anyone out per se, and whenever our new coach does something that receives praise people are going to presume it's shade being thrown at Bickerstaff. Just how it goes.

Sure, why not, they may feel they need a "cultural hire" to start turning things around.

Let's see if Shams announces we're hiring Borego in a few minutes...

Let's go, deeper rotations, finally.

I wanna see what all he learned under Kerr. Dude has coached under a lot of good offensive minded coaches in his career.

I wonder if the Cavs retain Luke Walton? It would tell us something about how he's perceived by the organization and whether the feeling is that Bickerstaff was holding him back.

It was reported that some of the Cavs' coaches from this past season were running draftee workouts.

I mean saddling Atkinson with assistant coaches he didn't choose is why he backed out on Charlotte. If you trust the guy, and you better, let him choose the guys he wants.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Let's not be silly, they're not going to force Luke Walton on him, but he is under contract, wasn't fired when Buckner was fired, and Atkinson might prefer him to whatever else is available right now.

Good for him. That is the perfect situation for him, guy is a floor raiser. Sucks we gotta see him 4 times per season but i hope Allen and Mitchell go off every time we play them, for his petty comments.

JBB joining the Pistons is going to make our central division matchups a little more spicy, but he's not building this team from scratch and I'm not sure he'll have any more "grinders" to work with there than he did here. Might be some friction as he sorts out which guys are really willing to play hard for him.

Koby's drafting focus on gym rats and guys who love to play makes things easier for a coach to instill a culture. The Piston's roster seems more ad hoc.

Either way, it's interesting he got the nod over Borego. Oh, it looks like Borego took himself out - interesting.

JB will help build their culture and hopefully find them an avenue to having a serviceable game plan. Pistons seem to be in the same spot JB took over for the Cavs in, but we were able to accelerate out timeline to outpace JB. I think he’ll last most of this 5 years

Or since he's not starting from scratch with young players trying to impress their coach, it could all blow up in his face.

Presumably the Pistons are expecting your scenario, not mine. 8-)
