Post#1 » by LBJ » Fri Apr 9, 2010 6:52 am

Does anyone know when he'll be back yet and if the ankle sprain is serious or not? correct me if i'm wrong but i believe it was a sprained ankle.

No it's not a sprain. It's just a foot contusion (bruise). Antawn isn't sure if he'll play against Indiana but I think it would be ridiculous not to rest him until the playoffs start.

I'd hate to go into the playoffs on a losing streak, so somebody has to play. I do think there's no chance he plays tonight. Sitting tonight was part of the original plan anyway.

Know what you can do at practice with an injured foot?....free throws. :P

I'm glad he's pretty much ok.

He's fine. Bruised foot, no sprain.

I'd sit him until he is 100%.

I would liked it if the Cavs went full strength against ATL and ORL in their final 2 games as I don't think you want potential play-off opponents to gain any psychological edge over you. But ya, you wouldn't want Jamison playing if he's not 100%.

it doesn't matter, we either get the bulls, who barely beat our 2nd string or the raptors without Bosh. Playing them will get us on a winning streak before the second round. It's not the NFL where a single loss on an off day sends you home. The NBA playoffs last two months, a team can build their momentum during the playoffs.

The worst thing that can happen is to have a more serious injury to a key player in a game that is completely meaningless.

Me too LBJ, Shaq, Lerbron and Jamison need the playing time from both games so that they won't be rusty on the opening night of the playoffs. The big Three needs to get use to playing with each other and to build up some chemistry before the playoffs. Plus...We need to beat orlando so that the Cavaliers can instill fear into their hearts before the playoffs...

the wild card on what I said above is Shaq's availability. If he's able to go, then play everyone because we haven't had a game all season with our whole playoff roster. But if Shaq isn't able to go, no need to play the rest of our top players again before the playoffs. We don't need to send Orlando any message until game 1 of the ECF. In fact, it may be better to not give them a chance to face our whole lineup before then.

I can agree to that too Mr Mod. Either way, this is not going to be cake wallk to the NBA Finals, no matter who the Cavaliers play. The 3 game rest will be great for Jamison.

either way, to me there no doubt it is going to come down to the magic vs the Cavaliers in the ECF.
