Will Lebron lose money over this decision?

Will the "Lebron brand" suffer because of this decision? He'll make new fans in Florida, but how many fans will no longer be fans, in Cleveland or other wise? Reports always said that he wanted to be a billionaire athlete and so forth. I was just wondering what you guys think about how this affects his fan base and his "brand"?

Raptor fan here....
I think tonight, Lebron lost a lot of fans. Just the way they conducted the whole thing and mocked everyone.
Like before, I respected Bosh decision to leave but the way they did was insulting.
His reputation has definitely suffered. I don't want to say this, but if Lebron had stayed in Cavs, or went to Knicks or Bulls, people would had understand though heart-broken.
Now, he's a sell-out. He gets his choice to form a powerhouse but now he's losing millions.
He be hard press to win back fans.

he would have lost fans if he stayed in cleveland too. then it would have been he's all about the money, etc.

i think he lost fans and it hurt his GOAT tag. Really disgusting actually. You need 3 top 10 players to win a championship? At least your admitting your no Jordan.

I dont think Bosh or LeBron are sellouts they did what they thought was best against adversity and hate that makes them men. Not letting people put them down. Both raptors and Cavs will recover after time new talent will come it and we both learned more from how this went out.

Knicks Fan..
I truly feel like Lebron lost 65-75% of his fan base tonight. Completely wiping out Chicago, Cleveland and of course the Big Apple. We will give this guy hell at MSG, you better believe it. He gained a small fanbase in an NBA casual city. this is a decision I think LeBron will ultimately regret.

"The Decision" totally backfired on LeBron today. How many people from Chicago, NY, mid-west will be buying LeBron nike shoes? For that matter, the rest of the country?
And if you are in Miami will you be buying Wade, Bosh or LeBron shoes?

Bulls fan here...
I think we all knew that "the King" was narcissistic, but the manner in which he handled the situation will definitely have financial implications. Due to his horrible PR team the state of Ohio hates him along with Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. Those are the three biggest basketball markets in the US.
LeBron can kiss his chances of being a billionaire goodbye.

who cares about him becoming a billionaire.... why would one even need that much? the fact that he has a goal to be a billionaire shows what kind of person he is. the manner in which he conducted himself throughout this whole free agency was appauling. he left cleveland out to dry

No one needs a billion dollars. It's the feeling of accomplishment for reaching that status that he is looking for.
After someone gets to a certain point in life where they make more than enough money to take care of themselves and their families, then you chase money for reasons other than greed.

to chime in..magic fans already hate him for his douchey walk off (no handshake) after defeat in the 2009 ecf. this just added fuel to the fire.
