If Lebron went to Chicago or New York would you be upset?
As a Chicago fan, I wouldn't be upset if he went to NY, I would understand him staying in Chicago, but its mind boggling choosing Miami.

What do you think

The way he decided to go on national television and make a spectacle of this whole affair is what I take issue with most. He has shown himself to be a huge douchebag the past couple of years as his ego has grown to mammoth proportions. However I would at least have respected him a little more if he went to the Bulls or Knicks instead of the Heat. At least if he did that, Lebron wouldn't come off as such a ring chaser.

Im not a Cavs fan but as a Bulls fan, of course I wanted Lebron to come to CHI. After seeing how he handled the whole situation basically throwing it in the face of CLE, I wouldnt want this guy on my team no matter how talented he is. The Cavs are fortunate to have an owner and front office that is willing to do whatever to put a winning product out on the floor. Im glad they didnt have to lower themselves to do it. Rebuilding, albeit painful is a necessary thing and sometimes a fresh start is just what everyone needs. Cavs will be back! First class organization-No one can accuse them of not trying to bend over backwards to take care of their own.

amazing how ESPN is covering the story wrong. I agree with the tittle of this thread. It's more about where he went, not where he left. If he left CLE, the fans will likely be upset anywhere he goes. But by going to miami, more NBA fans are upset from other teams and im sure some CLE fans are far more angry that he chose to be the second fiddle in mia over ny/chi where he could at least be a hero as the main guy with a single tittle. It's very shocking. I won't be surprised if D12 starts his own summit

I definately agree with this statement. He knows the history, he understands the pain, and he still goes out and does it that way...
I think he has every right to play where he wants, I've said that all along. He never owed it to us to play here, but we did earn respect and as a native he did owe it to us not to insult the city on the way out like that.

As for the original OP, I am happy that he ended up somewhere other than NYC. As many are, I'm tired of having NYC crammed down my throat constantly by the media.
