For those Cavs fans in anger, here is something to make you a bit happier about the reality James will face in Miami as a wealthy young rich man with no education.

I own a home in Miami and have lived there off and on for 6-8 month periods for the past 7 years. My business requires it and I grew up in carib/south america or I would never even consider doing so.

1. The city is the second poorest in the USA. Right behind Detroit in average salary. Don't let those party vibes you get on TV fool you. People there are up to their eyeballs in debt due to alcohol and women, and for women purses and clothes. Bankruptcy is a norm there, so much so that every 200 yards you see ads asking you to declare bankruptcy. There are 20 blocks of decent real estate in Miami, and the values are plummeting and most money and drug money from south america which helped build the largely empty skyline of condos are still falling fast and already being turned into low cost apartments which still can't be rented due to the extremely low average salary in Miami.
2. James will cheat on his girl with various whores, and end up having a baby with a few. This will chase him in court for years. His existing girlfriend will sue him under common law marriage claims and walk away with 20+ million due to their living arrangments and her move to Miami alongside James.
3. Miami is an extremely fake city, plastic surgery mania women poking holes in condoms, women constantly getting drugged in clubs, rich men getting drugged by gold diggers in clubs (close call there...), sex parties with Latina immigrants who work in exchange for free clothes (I've rubbed up against some shady types in my work).

James has the least chance to make money endorsing products in Miami. The big endorsements in town are lawyers and bankruptcy firms. I know through my lawyer that Pitbull (Cuban rapper/club music guy) was paid only 15,000 dollars for a year of using his photo and name for an ambulance chasing firm. Also found out despite making over 4 million dollars in record sales and event royalties he took that deal for himself to qvoid bankruptcy!

Small minded men and women no matter how large implode in Miami. I am always desperate to find people with decent vocabularies and good education in Miami for personal and business reasons. James will run himself into the ground in Miami. There is NOTHING there except divorce, lawsuits and negative cash flow for mega superstars with large entourages.

I have watched these types bankrupt themselves up close and from a distance for the past 8 years. My neighbor in Miami? Udonis Haslem. The guy gets home trashed 5 nights of the week and his condo is under foreclosure protection by a local Miami law firm.

Don't worry Cavs he couldn't have screwed you over to go to a worse place. My wife is Venezuelan (gre up in Venezuela and have close business ties three, both personal and family related since age 8). Miami is required for me, I tell all others with money to visit and experience a weekend and they'll understand how trashy it is.

Have fun going broke like Antoine Walker. James has a chance to make max money and lose it all down there. Don't forget Walker made close to 15m. James will have to work much harder at being an idiot with his Nike money, but last night showed me he can do it....

Far from joking and you having a university of Miami nickname makes your shouts of anger seem hollow. It's all based on the experience of living the "high life" in Miami. Unlike NYC or LA there are no benefits, only negative cash flow and the company of con artists.

At least in NY or LA if you drop 2000 dollars in a night you meet 4-5 people who can make you far more in the future if you're a smart business type. In Miami you meet a 23 year old who did god knows what to get into certain areas of a supposed nice night club or lounge.

First of All: shut your mouth because you know nothing about Miami. I don't care if you lived here you obviously know nothing about business in this city and you are being spiteful and rude about lebron leaving. Q

Miami has one of th elowest salaries in the nation because we have communities of immigrants some legal and others not, that the numbers don't always account for the people who are making money illegally due to improper work visas, etc.

Detroits economy is not something you can compare to south florida's.

Real reasons;

1-After Chris Bosh, James, and Wade. Its Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers, and Joel Anthony. Thats SIX. After that, who? Shaq? Keyon Dooling? Kwame Brown? Allen Iverson???? Either way, I'm pretty sure you need at least 13.

2- All 82 games, they will have the biggest targets on their backs. Every team will give everything they have to beat the "Ringers".

3- The NBA draft, which is now one of their best friends, hasn't always been their best friend. For every Beasley (who actually kind of dissapointed) and Chalmers, you have guys like Marcus Thorton, Daequan Cook, and Wayne Simien.

4- Look at the Lakers roster. They match up well with Miami. Look at the Celtics roster. They find ways to win.

5- Chris Bosh scored 24 points a game last season and his team failed to make the playoffs. Lebron James scored about 30 and his team was taken out in the 2nd round. Wade scored about 27 and couldn't get past the 1st round.

6- right now, Joel Anthony is their most likely starting Center. Well until Shaqs ego and him sign for the minimum

7- they are looking at months of being stalked by Allen Iverson.

8- Lebron Pippen, I mean James, is afraid to be the man...but wants to be paid like it.

9- Michael Jordan never pussed out and joined the Lakers. Thats not to related, I just really wanted to put that.

I have never lived in Miami, and dont know either way about the city. Induveca is not a regular on this board. You Miami fans have to realize that there are many many posters on our board that are not Clevelanders or Cavs fans for that matter. So save your "Cleveland weeps and spews hatred" rhetoric if you dont mind. OR at least have the decency to inquire if someone is a Clevelander before trashing us, but I guess what with the example your new superstar has given you, decency and maturity arent really an option now.
Man, Induveca if you are right, it will be interesting to see how Lebron and Bosh handle their business down there. But, as proteges of Wade who has avoided most of the trappings of success they will probably be fine.

Smart people don't take shots at Cleveland while on the Cleveland board anyway. That being said Induveca lives in South America and Miami, I have no idea why you'd think there was some connection to Cleveland.

While it may be extreme and does not highlight the "positives" of miami - ind* does highlight the many pitfalls of the glamour life - especially in a glamour city. I 100% agree with ind* that LeBron is a pretty dumb person and will likely fail. His quest to be a billionaire is going to be his undoing (on the court and in life). This whole publicity act that he just partook in is a big step in that direction.

I've posted on heat forums since 2003, this guy supposedly since 2009 but I never seen him. I'm sorry about your loss, the whole world who knows anything about basketball knows how devastating this is for Cleveland. I came on this board to just read what people are posting about this loss not to comment, but I just wanted to defend the fact that this guy is nobody on the heat board. You can't tell me Cleveland fans AREN'T spewing hatred, and for people to try and detract from what the Heat has benefited from is just silly.

I feel for the city, and I know this is difficult, anger and depression is natural, but unproductive.

Heat fans, you don't need to come here and pretend you're sorry for our loss. We know the truth. You won the lottery and no one ever apologizes for that. I'm not going to trash your city though, I get tired of Americans trashing each others cities. I don't think anyone here really has any animosity towards Miami fans, team or the city. I won't pretend that speak for all Cavs fans though, I just haven't seen that attitude here.

EDIT: Yes Cavs fans are angry still, it is a very fresh wound. It is not directed at any fan or city. It is directed at a person who happened to drag his hometown through the mud on national tv.
