Josh Howard anyone?

Josh Howard for cheap (3 yrs, 15 mill or 2 yrs, 10 mill) might get the Cavs to the playoffs:

PG - Williams
SG - Parker
C - Varajeo
PF - Jamison
SF - Howard

w/ West, Hickson, and Moon rounding out a solid eight-man rotation.

Me likes! I think they're an over .500 team and make a strong push for the playoffs with these eight guys getting the brunt of the minutes.

Josh Howard is currently rehabbing from tearing his ACL. Any team that even considers signings him to $5 million per season has no clue how to build a contender or manage money properly.

Hey, he'd be getting to 100% just in time for him to be a free agent.

Ouch!

I didn't know he tore that ACL.

Nevertheless, I'd probably still sign him (Josh Howard) ... albeit for less money (w/ that "recovering from an ACL tear leverage")

Why not consider it if the price is cheap and you could add in a team option. If it doesn't work out than you have not invested all that much.

Cavs Should get rid of Delonte for cap then we could sign Brad Miller, R.Jefferson and McGrady if we used the mid level. PG:Mo SG:T-Mac,SF:RJ,PF:Jamison,C:Miller, and we have Gibson,Parker,Moon,Hickson and Varejao as the bench.

I am not against signing McGrady on the cheap. If he is healthy, I think he still has some game left in him. Josh Howard for either of the proposed deals is also a good pickup. We have a good excuse to take a chance on someone, so I see not reason to not pursue some of these players.
