Box Score:

Good to see Christian Eyenga. He's a crazy athlete, but he had 7 fouls in 32 mins.

Hickson had a real solid game.

Danny Green - 8 turnovers

I did watch the game yesterday and let me tell you.... Nodody really impressed me. Eyenga is still raw and can jump through the gym, but his J is weak. Green looked out of control at times. JJ looked decent missed 6 freethrows but his jumpre looked better so that was probably the one plus i would take out of that game.

A brief on another site said that Hickson lacked lift and explosiveness, did anyone who watched notice this?

I wouldnt say that. So many times in these summer leagues the coaches are trying to get players to work on certain parts of their game. You could tell with JJ he was trying to work on his jumper. He had a couple of nice post moves and a nasty reverse layup. I thought his defense was pretty terrible and the D-Leaguer's kept going at him.

Eyenga does have springs in his legs though. He is definitely raw, but I think the kid has a chance. He will be exciting if nothing else.

Pooh Jeter was nice... He at least deserves a call into camp.

I was able to watch the game yesterday and thought Hickson looked pretty good. As others said, you could tell he was mainly trying to work on a consistent jumper throughout the night. Thought he did pretty well in other areas and he even drove to the basket a few times.

I keep watching the summer league games. lol Even if it's Kings/Pistons one the other day, I just love to watch basketball.

Cavs win game 2 against the Suns. JJ with 34 and 9. Impressive.

During the first half, I thought that Green was going to rack up 25+ points... he looked real good... then in the 2nd half, he was kidnapped or something... total opposites.

Hickson only had one rebound in the 1st half, and finished with 9 or 10. Perhaps whoever said he lacked lift/explosiveness only saw the first half.

Eyenga was decent...except he fouled about 50 times (probably more like 8-9). But he was actually pretty good besides that. He had some jitters (you could see that before he stepped on the court). Dude may be more athletic than Bron. I think if he gets his shooting worked on, he could be a real keeper!

Yea!!! Good for JJ playing well again. I am really looking forward to seeing him grow this year. I think a lot of guys will surprise this year with the additional shots and opportunities they'll have now.

I may be a bit naive, but anyone think that Hickson can average more points per game than Mo next season?

Oh and this dunk from Christian Eyenga is pretty sick.

Anyone remember Richard Dumas (drugs ended his career pretty quickly) from the Suns? That's what the Eyenga highlights remind me of.

Good to see Hickson had a nice game 2.

Can anyone that saw the game fill us in on Green? Did he clean up his act after all those turnovers in the first game?

Danny looked a lot better to me. When he's not forcing things he looks very under control and like a confident scorer, but when he tries to force things he throws up bricks that look like they have no shot of going in.

They had him running a lot of the point in the first game trying to see if he was capable I suppose. Thats what likely led to a lot of his TO's. In game 2 I dont recall seeing him bringing the ball up that often.

Hard to tell from summer league, but it sounds like Eyenga and Hickson are progessing. Unless we are in talks with another good young prospect, I think we should hang on to both of these guys and see how they develop.

Daaaang, that Eyenga dunk was sweet! He's a really smooth dunker. He might be in the dunk contest some day.

BTW, are any of you guys catching these games online? I think one is on ESPN3 coming up, couldn't find a way to watch the first two, though. Anybody got a site? (Don't know if I'm allowed to ask for that.)

So, I really wanted to watch the game tonight but it's just such awful basketball with such awful commentary and I'm streaming it in awful quality. At least I tried.
