Apparently the Bulls are also interested in Shannon. It's ironic that the Cavs traded Brown to the Bulls in that Ben Wallace/Wally/Delonte trade.

Personally, I don't think Shannon is that good other than for a few highlights.

Pass. Not interest in an undersized SG.

Let's rebuild the right way, no treading water with scrubs.

I'm not totally against it.. Having S. Brown at SG is a whole lot better than having a 35 year old Anthony Parker at that spot, especially if we're looking to rebuild.

I disagree. Brown may look a little better in an uptempo offense, but that is definitely arguable. He is an undersized shooting guard with an inconsistent shot that cannot handle the ball or defend well. Scott is planning on running two ball handlers at a time, so I do not see where Brown fits in that scenario... unless you want to see him out shined by Gibson again.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

We do need to have a full roster to play. I'm certainly no Shannon Brown fan, but its not like he'd cost us the full MLE or something. As someone mentioned I think we'd be much better off pursuing a bigger wing though. Someone like Gerald (I'm going to work his name into every one of my posts, lol) Green.

If we are shopping in the bargain basement for players that won't make it in the NBA, we might as well look at Joe Alexander. With his size and athleticism, you would think he would perform better in an uptempo offense. How many chances has Gerald Green had already?

You could argue Green's only had one real chance and he didn't play badly. Even stuck behind Pierce and Wally he played pretty well for the Celtics. Traded in the Garnett deal I don't think he's had a fair chance since. While seemingly around forever the guy is still only 24 years old.

Joe Alexander is another good idea. He's due for another shot too.

These kind of guys are going to know an opportunity like this would be their last chance. Bring them both in and let them run. If they can't find playing time competing with Jawad Williams then you know they're done for good.

As I said before, I am not completely against adding him to the team again, but I would definitely prefer to have him over Anthony Parker at the 2. I know what his weaknesses are but yes, I do feel he will play better in transition with an uptempo offense, seeing that is where he is most effective.

Brown was getting minutes at the point guard spot for the lakers. He has average handles for a shooting guard who could help bring ball up and get teammates open looks. Without anybody who can create their own shot or shots for others besides Mo he would be a nice combo guard whether he started or came off bench. Showed he can guard and score on other shooting guards when Kobe was out, scoring 27 points with starter minutes. I think he would be a nice pickup even though he is a little pricey. I would sign him if we could trade either West or Parker. Brown is athletic, gets to the rim, decent jump shot, has some range, gets to the foul line, and a very quick release shot. He would be a nice guy if the Cavs were looking to rebuild, get young and run up and down the court. The Cavs are gonna have some problems for this year but i think they could have a decent young team for the future.

PG-MO and Boobie
SG- Shannon Brown and West or Parker
SF- Eyenga and Moon
PF-Hickson and Jamison and Samuels
C- Varejao and Kwame

Pick up Kwame Brown and Sign and Trade Shaq for whatever you can maybe a first rounder or two second rounders or something. Eyenga is really built and athletic and i think he could matchup with other SF better than Moon because of his size and strength. I would look to maybe trade Jamison for a defensive center and wing that could score. If the Hawks still wanted Oneal the cavs could try and get Jordan Crawford and maybe ZAZA. That would not be a bad team. Cavs fans would eat up Crawford since he the one who dunked on Lebitch. Zaza would add nice depth to frontcourt.

you guys would be smart to try and get him....hes very underrated. When kobe got hurt last year and missed 5 games he stepped in and balled.....if you give him minutes he will be a very decent player.

For the previous Cavs he was a bad fit. For the current Cavs this is exactly the kind of guy you go after.
