Imagine an expansion draft right now....

...and the Cavs could only protect 7 of the players currently under contract, which ones would you protect, and which are the players to be left unprotected?
Also take this info into account:
The new expansion team can only use up to 64% of the regular cap space. chances are they'd pass up on drafting a 60 million player (exaggerated i know).
I'm asking you this because I'm trying to set up a topic in which realgm users can select an expansion team from available players.
Thanks in advance, and good luck next season guys!

I'm not even sure that the Cavs have 7 players that I'd care about protecting. That being said, there is never an expansion draft unless the Cavs have good player they won't be able to keep. It's happened every time.

Hickson, Varejao, Mo, Eyenga & Green are about it as far as I can think of (and even that is a bit of a stretch). Jamison is kinda iffy due to his contract, but it's really not good practice to lose talent for nothing.

I'd probably go with:
Hickson
Varejao
Eyenga
Green
Sessions
Gibson
Williams (Iffy on him due to his contract because I dont think an expansion team would select him)

you're crazy Mo is probably one of only players an expansion team would want from Cle.

I like Gibson, but he's the one that I have no fear that someone would take.
