I find it interesting the Leon Powe is over looked as a possible big contributor to the CAVs this coming season as a solid rotation player, off the bench, like he was with Boston before his injury. Everything I read about the CAVs (even from local writers) have him way below the radar.

If Powe is truly healthy the 26-year-old will be a force to be reckoned with. Late in 2009 subbing for Kevin Garnett, Powe scored 30 points, grabbed 11 boards, and blocked 5 shots against Memphis. He has come up huge in big games too scoring 21 points in only 15 minutes of play in front of a crowd chanting his name during Game 2 of the 2008 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.

I really questioned why he didn't get more playing time in the regular season and playoffs. Obviously we were stacked with forwards but he would have vastly outplayed Jamison and Hickson against Boston in matching up with KG. I just chalked it up to another one of Brown's coaching mishaps.

But now you realize that he was not healthy, and that playing Powe heavy minutes would have likely disrupted his rehab?

Man I hope Leon does you guys proud. He was my favorite player in Boston. If he's healthy, you will love his effort and he can be a game changer.

Powe can join Varejao as the interior players who motivates others with their hustle and effort. Bring that blue collar mentality to the team.
