Question about Danny Green

Hello guys,

Spurs fan here. We've just signed Danny Green to be our backup SF while James Anderson recovers from a foot injury.

In 2009 he was among the good options for our 2nd round pick, but as you guys know we got Blair with our pick. We knew Danny was a pretty good defender (some guys called him mini-Bowen).

What you guys could say about his game? Why didn't he play well for the Cavs?

thx in advance

I think he did a few good things last year, but doesnt handle the ball very well and fell out of favor with the new staff because of that. I was one who really wanted Blair but didnt think Green would be a bust either.

He seems to play composed, which is nice. I think he has the tools to be a solid role player, maybe Pop can motivate him a little more than Brown/Scott.

Ugh. I was definitely not on the Danny Green bandwagon when he was here. He is slow, not athletic, slow release on his jumper, no handles. Did not like

Oh, yeah. Around last years trade deadline, there was a monster bandwagon. Some guys were like "They want JJ AND Danny Green!?!?" for Amare/Iggy/Bosh/Whoever. Fans who overvalued the potential of some of these young players are seeing the reality of who can play and who cant.

I'm a Danny Green fan. He is a good outside shooter, good team defender, knows how to play the game. He is solid in the right situation, which SA should be for him.

He was perfect on a team with Lebron because he knew how to play off the ball well. In a situation like SA with a post threat like Duncan, there should be a similar effect.
