Ex Cavs Players you "may" want back (No Lebron)

From the past decade, which players (active players and for every position) do you want to play again for the organization? Consider this a nostalgic rebuild.

SF- Darius Miles
PF- Carlos Boozer/ Drew Gooden
C- Z

I had a good laugh after seeing Hughes, Davis, and Miles on that list.

honestly, I did smirk when I put those three in there. :lol:

the purpose of the thread was the "what if's" some active players came back to play and how they can contribute to the current team.

imo, there isn't a single player in the roster right now who is willing to take charge. Mo Williams could be, but he isn't that man from Milwaukee anymore (I wish he is right now). There is no clear cut go to guy in the team. at least for Hughes and Davis, offensively, we know they'll shoot.

I would take the 2000-2001 Andre Miller and the 2001-2002 Ricky Davis.

Shannon Brown would look ok on this team. Too bad Azuibuke was never given a real shot to make the roster. I would take him back too.

Yep, Shannon Brown turned into a decent player.
Right now we could use Ben Wallace too.

Other than that nobody.
Boozer is certainly skilled enough, but he makes a lot and is injury prone.

Boozer, Gooden, Delonte West, Shaq... well to be honest there are almost only crap players that played for Cleveland. Considering what this team needs, Shaq, Gooden, Bozzer and Delonte would be great.

wow, I listed a line up that could barely survive the NBA. :lol:

I forgot about Wallace, Shaq and Shannon. Who would have thought of the outcome with Brown. I remember years ago in RCF forums fans were going crazy over Boobie and Brown was only an after thought and only considered as a chubby AI:

Assuming these players came back during their prime stint in Cleveland, do you think this roster can be a contender this season?

No but if you tweeked it a bit to a 04 Ben Wallace and 00 or 95 shaq then... it's really no question

if only that was possible.

even their best season in Cleveland form is impossible but assuming it is.
right now, the team lacks a dominant big and a creator. I think a combination of Boozer, Big Ben, D West and Andre Miller is enough to contribute to the team. then Gooden and Brown as back ups.. :pray:

How about a couple of guys we drafted and then traded their draft rights?
Jamaal Crawford
Brendan Haywood

Along with Azibuke did we have Matt Barnes on our training camp roster at one point? Those two would have been a nice boost as well.
