Daniel Gibson is having a stellar season, with a couple 20 point games, but everyone seems to think he is terrible and undeserving of a starting spot. Gibson is 10x better than an old Anthony Parker.

I thought he was progessing nicely and that he could be the next Billups if he continued to work on his ballhandling/pg skills. These injuries are really starting to bother me, but I would still be hesitant to move him unless a big name was coming back.

He's not talented whatsoever and has been easily one of the most overrated Cavs I have ever seen...

He's a 6'2" spot up shooter...

He can't catch and shoot
He can't pull up off the dribble and knock down shots consistently
He doesn't attack the basket
He doesn't play decent defense
He has no court vision
He has limited handles
He can't create for himself or others

IMO, Daniel Gibson is a nice backup spot up shooter who is bench fodder for most teams...He seems fairly lazy and has a disposition about him that suggests he has little if any interest in expanding his game nor will ever expand his game...

I don't think we have enough size to be much of anyone. I could see melo getting a bunch of points on offensive putbacks.

umm, gibson CAN defend, and if you do some google searching, you will find out that byron scott said after training camp that gibson was the team's BEST perimeter defender.

Oh, and gibson CAN catch and shoot, if he couldnt, he wouldnt be able to shoot all those 3s he gets from the CATCH AND SHOOT

No he can't... Only defense Gibson really has is his ability not to get destroyed in the post-- bigger guards have a tougher time backing him down... Otherwise, he has limited lateral quickness and struggles staying in front of his man--always has...

And he can't catch and shoot... He can catch, set his feet and then shoot, but he's not someone that can run off screens and catch and shoot consistently... At best, he can run off a screen, catch and kick his little leg out to try to draw a Reggie Miller-like kick foul-- but he's certainly not a guy that can fly off screens and knock down consistent shots from the perimeter...
