Chris Grant just parlayed Mo Williams into a top-10 pick.

I love it!

I would have loved to had been a fly on the wall when Baron got the news that he was being sent to play for the same Byron Scott that he didn't want to play for in New Orleans. This should be very interesting.

All I'm saying is

Kyrie Irving + Jared Sullinger
Kyrie Irving + Kemba Walker
Kyrie Irving + Perry Jones
etc etc etc

the combinations we could get out of this draft are amazing.

The Cavaliers and Clippers have agreed upon a trade of Mo Williams and Jamario Moon for Baron Davis and a first round pick in 2011 (reportedly unprotected).

what a roller coaster trade deadline.

are Cavs fans happy with B. Diddy on board or just the ridding of Mo and a potential good pick in the draft?

Serious kudos to Dan Gilbert for this deal, which is essentially him throwing millions of dollars at the chance for a number 1 pick. It's his money and he's really laying it on the line for his fans here.

I'm not a cavs fan but I'm surprised you guys are happy. Mo was a big part of this organization for a long time.
Saw several mentions that the upcoming draft wouldn't be that good, is that information wrong?

Never liked Mo so for me this is a good trade.

Gotta love it!

Clips nation just got thousands of anti-fans hoping they lose out.

Wow! You guys just traded a guy I thought you'd have to dump for a better player (if/when healthy) + a lottery pick. Nice job! :D

I am pretty pumped about this. Two lotto picks in '11 and a soon to be grumpy point guard. Nice.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I'm happy for Mo, Best wishes to him in LA. He's a nice gy and not a quiter like ****. But Mo was someone who did get hurt often. This team is not a team of "the now" its a team maybe in "the future". Getting this pick is a great move. Baron will be pissed and upset he is coming to Ctown - oh well - that's what happens when you get older. I wouldn't be pissed I'm still a millionaire - WTF. Be happy

The best part about this is Baron makes us worse for next year too!

Can you imagine Baron and Jamison chucking up shots next year. LOL

Mo grew the beard in anticipation of this deal.

Baron Davis has his faults (being a complete chucker), but he is a legitimate PG too. This may help a few other guys on the court - like JJ.

They said Davis' 3rd year is only partially guarenteed. Anyone know how much its locked in for?

As for Mo, it was definately time to go. Hopefully they get some pieces around Blake and they start heading in the right direction....after we cash in their pick.

I'm not meaning to be a downer, but this years draft is terrible for a top 10 pick. There really is no star talent.

Well, good luck Mo. I still think that people on this site are a little overly anti-Mo but I hopefully this first rounder works out as well or better than the year we drafted Daugherty and Harper in the first round. Too bad we don't have a guy we already drafted who's being investigated for point shaving like Hot Rod was.

There is no superstar talent, but there looks to be plenty of potential all-star talent. I really don't believe there is such a thing as a bad year to have a top 10 pick. What did we trade for the rights to #10 (who would be #15 in a great draft)?....nothing. <----sounds good.

Most drafts only have a couple definite team changers available in the first round. 2003 had way more than usual and they still had there Milicic, Ford and Sweetney. You still have to draft well and have some luck. However, IMO this pick really didn't cost us anything.
