One of my fondest memories was listening to Joe Tait announcing the Miracle of Richfield. Each game ended with him losing his voice because of the yelling and intensity of the games. Joe will be missed.

I'm not a Cavs fan, mater of fact I can't stand the Cavs (never did) but but Joe Tait was one of the best in the business

Back in the Price/Daugherty days I had this old radio that could pick up all kinds of AM radio stations and WWWE would come in pretty clear most of the time even here in Milwaukee,I listened to a lot of Cavs games back then mostly because I enjoyed Tait's call so much.

He was one of a kind and I will miss listening to him.

Tait had a stretch in the pre-Lebron years where it sounded like he was going thru the motions but he was better than ever during the Lebron era. I love that he wasn't afraid to jab at Lebron or Mike Brown when they deserved it, or praise other teams when they did something great. He had incredible integrity and such a great tone of delivery that let you know how he really felt.

This past year was the first season where I couldn't listen to games on 1100 and I really missed it. I could catch games in Richmond VA, Chicago, Grand Rapids, even Mobile AL but can't get it in Houston. Now I will miss it less.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Funny thing about 1100, I remember back in the early 70's listening to 1100 over my grandmothers house in Alabama
