Chauncey Billups and NY

Post#1 » by dukeknicksirish » Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:01 am

should the cavs consider trading their:

trade exception and Anderson Varejoa
for
Chauncey Billups and Bill Walker

+for Knicks: gives them the center they are needing and money for 2012( which they are desperate for)

+for Cavs: get use out of the trade exception for $15M expiring contract and also an expiring in an athletic Bill Walker
-they can release Chauncey(already have enough PG) or trade Chauncey (for another team that is interested in cap relief for this summer)

Agree with jpsteven. The CAVs have Baron Davis at PG and a 14.5 million trade exemption with a need for talent--- NOT more trade exemptions.

yep.

Knicks want good players for nothing as usual.

Does nothing for the Cavs at all.. If the Knicks had any first round picks to include and you could then buy out Billups right away then maybe... But otherwise giving away Andy for nothing....

Knicks fan here, roaming.

Take out the exception:

Billups, Walker, Balkman

for

Varejao, Sessions

Done deal?

I'd at least like to know what these thinking is for these deals. IMO they don't do anything for the Cavs. Maybe they have something that I haven't though of however.

I saw this post and thought it would be a Baron Davis (and maybe others) for Billups (and maybe others) swap. Thats a bad idea, the OP trade is something beyond horrible.

Next seasons PG depth Chart;
Billups, Davis, Gibson, Harris, Irving, and Sessions.
