1. How about we just straight up trade sessions for the knick's 17th pick
why knicks: they are supposedly interested in ramon sessions and he just had a breakout year
why cavs: gives us a mid first rounder that we are aiming to get
2. Then trade
Det out: Rip , #8
Det in: Flynn, ,16, Tpe, #54, cash
Cle: #2, Rip, #20,
Clev out: #4, TPE
Min in : Iggy, #8
Min Out: Flynn, #20, Pek, Webster, #2
Philly In: #4, Pek, Web
Philly out: Iggy, #16
why detroit: they are getting something in return for rip with cap space and moving back 8 spots as well as getting another pick
why cleveland: we use our tpe and our 4th pick and get a 20th pick
why Minnesota: they get a veteran player to fill a hole at SG and then have #8 to pick Big V or Biyombo
Why Philly: Move up to take a center they greatly need with Enes kanter and Pekovic who has good post game along with Martell Webster
*note - On realgm.com all fans of all the teams liked this trade so it is plausible for all teams
So our picks are 1,2, 17,20,32
If we want we could package 20,17, and 32, 20 and 32, or 17 and 32?
3. 32 and 20, cash, and Daniel Gibson (if needed) for #10 from Milwaukee
- Milwaukee fans believe they have not done well in the draft the last couple of years so now they have 2 chances to get a good pick instead of 1... they can select Marshon Brooks and Chandler Parsons
Why cavs: move up to get a good shooting guard
4. then buy laker pick in the second round for 2 million dollars #45
why lakers: they have 4 second round picks and with such a talented roster they will likely not hold onto all of them and can get some money since the owner is way over the luxury tax
why cle: gives us another pick in the second round
5. then trade up with that pick and cash to then go and pick Keith Benson *if needed*
1- Kyrie Irving
2- Derrick Williams
10- Alec Burks
17- Chris Singleton
34- Keith Benson
-then a lockout where we select Harrison Barnes
PG-Kyrie Irving/Baron Davis/Harrison Barnes (going to PG camp so may be able to play a little bit)
SG-Harrison Barnes/Alec Burks/Christian Eyenga or Manny Harris
SF-Derrick Williams/Chris Singleton/Luke Harangondy
PF- JJ Hickson/Antawn Jamison/Samardo Samuels
C- Andy Varejao/Keith Benson/Ryan Hollins or Semih Erden

No. Minny and Det are not even interested in the original trade your basing this all off of. I would like if this happened but no.
"Shaqtastic. 24 points." "Where'd you get so many Q's?" (With a stern scary look) "Don't worry about it..."

It was barely believable, and than I saw steps 3 4 and 5 to your "realistic" plan

Yes Minny was interested, Detroit was the one denying interest in it which makes perfect sense to spice things up and negotiate more

3. Was the only one that I thought could be far-fetched but we could include more to get that #10 pick
4. Obviously realistic why the Hell would the lakers want to keep 4 second round picks on their roster
5. A team would be willing to move back in a draft and gain money in a weak draft like this

Re: Perfect and Realistic Draft with Explanations
1. Sessions is not worth the 17th pick. They could draft for depth and get someone at a lower pay grade.
2. I do not see how we get the 20th pick here. There are too many assumptions in this deal. Does Detroit see value in Flynn when they are already paying Bynum? Is Minnesota ready to spend on someone like Iguodala?
3. Milwaukee was said to be high on Alec Burks, and that package is not enough to get to #10 anyway.
4. That is a lot to pay for a mid second round pick.
5. I simply do not understand the logic here. We buy a mid 2nd round pick for $2 million so that we can flip it, along with more cash, for a potential backup center?
How about we move the TPE for Rip and the #8 if we can. Draft Irving with the #1 pick, Kanter at #4, and Alec Burks at #8. We use the #32 pick on the best player available, and the #54 pick on the player with the highest potential ceiling.
Davis/K. Irving/Sessions
Burks/Gibson/Harris
Eyenga/Gee/Graham
Hickson/Jamison/Samuels
Kanter/Varejao/Erden/Hollins

^^^
Make the above trades, then also trade the 32, 54, and cash to move up into the late teens.
1. Irving
4. Kanter
8. Biyombo
19. Brooks
Irving/Davis/Sessions
Davis/Brooks/Eyenga/Harris
Eyenga/Gee/Graham
Hickson/Jamison/Biyombo
Varejao/Kanter/Erden/Hollins
A core of
Irving
Brooks
Eyenga/Top pick next year
Biyombo/Hickson
Kanter/Varajeo
Looks super.

I like how the 8th pick in the draft becomes our 5th big and that after all those deals we're still starting Davis out of position at the 2 and Eyenga at 3.

It was a nice dream, but after Irving and Kanter (who I think will be available at #4) we can grab the best wing available in the 2nd and basically have the same lineup this season.
...which is slightly more realistic.

Re: Perfect and Realistic Draft with Explanations
Oh mine is totally unrealistic, guilty as charged. And yes its bit chaotic at first with Jamison and Baron on the team taking minutes away, but it gives the guys time to adapt to the league in their first year before taking on starting or 6th man roles in the next season. I think a year behind veterans on a team like this would really help those picks learn and progress.
Imagine this down the line:
Irving/Sessions
Brooks/Eyenga
Barnes/Gee
Biyombo/Hickson
Kanter/Varejao
Thats a young team that has pieces that fit together just perfectly. It can shoot from outside very well, slash very well, pass very well, rebound very well, block shots, force turnovers, defend very well, has great size, and has good contributors off the bench.

This reminds me of the discussion in the 4/5 page thread on the Trade Board.
I personally think DET should get 16 and Cavs 20, but not enough for me to dismiss the deal.

Re: Perfect and Realistic Draft with Explanations
That top trade seems pretty solid, much better than last month's version. As a Pistons fan, it's appealing with the addition of Flynn, but Rip is no longer a huge albatross, with only two years left plus the potential he falls under amnesty clause in the new CBA. I think the 76ers would also rather just swap Igg and maybe #16 for #2 and salary filler, but Minn would definitely like getting that #8 out of the deal.
The Bucks trade is silly though. The Bucks busted on Joe Alexander and Yi, but fans are pretty happy with B Jennings (and pretty high on Larry Sanders too). In any case, there's no logic to trading down ten picks to get a 2nd rounder, unless they really really love two players who are in the 20-40 range this year.
