Trade Rumor with Lakers

Tony Rizzo said on his show that he has a source saying the Cavs and Lakers might have a deal for sessions and AV for Gasol...I do not know how much truth there is to this but i am so in for it....The only thing is if this goes through who do we take a four? I think we would move away from Kanter or Valacuinas and focus all efforts on trying to get the second pick for williams....maybe the 4th, and some future picks, The trade exception, Jamison and Gibson. Minnesota gets two vets they want still a good pick and tons of cash with the exception and Jamison's contract expiring next season.
Irving/Davis
Gee/Parker
D Williams
Hickson
Gasol/Hollins

Rizzo is an idiot and has no credibility whatsoever. The only asset the Cavs have that can get Gasol is #1. AV and Sessions doesn't come close at all.
The Cavs don't need Gasol anyway.

It would have to be number 4 and varejao for Gasol. I dont think I like that.

Absolutely nonsensical for the Cavaliers.
Maybe there is a 3rd team involved if the discussion is taking place at all.

That trade would be completely preposterous for the Cavs. Gasol does nothing for the Cavs.

Yeah I hope this isn't true. He is NOT the type of PF I had in mind to pair with Irving.

Maybe Gasol goes to Minn?
I do not think it is far fetched about them wanting to trade Gasol. I mean him and Kobe are not speaking right? I still think the Lakers need much more but hey......

The only way I want to see the #4 or Andy moved is if we end up with the #2 pick. Period. Regardless of what other players go, where that is about it. Unless Kanter is gone and we move to 6 or 7 and get Jonas and an additional mid first for the #4 alone.
Gasol would be the best player on the team if we traded for him, but what would be the point in that? So we win 35 to 45 games maybe next season instead of 20 to 30? Where does that leave us, picking in the mid first round in a deep draft. I would hope our FO sees the value of picking high again next year and building a good foundation with young players on good contracts, that would form a bond while improving and becoming (hopefully) a contending team.
