Neither Z nor Varejao could speak a lick of english when they were drafted. If I recall, the Cavs provided each with an interpreter. That being said, this is not a Cavs fan argument.

Casspi could blossom with Irving and Baron making plays. He'll be asked to shoot more since rookie Tristan Thompson would get his points on second attempts and putbacks. I think he'll fit very well with you guys. He'll take over Parker's role in the offense and he's capable of doing better. A breakoout year is very possible. I liked JJ Hickson very much, and i had to re-read the wiretap and the news to see if it's real, it's unfortunate that he was the one to go, he could be better, and there's a chance he'll be better in Sactown.

I know some people here really wanted Jonas so I'm wondering if any of you are still keeping an eye on him to see how he does? He's tearing it up at the U19 tournament. 21pts 15reb 4blks per game.

Are the Toronto fans trying to reassure themselves about Jonas with all this love for him. I never have nor do I have such a lofty opinion of Jonas. He could become a good center or be a big bust. Putting up big numbers in European competition is not a guarantee of future success in the NBA. Toronto has a guy named Kleiza who tore it up in Europe and hasn't been so super in the NBA... Jonas could become another Darko too.
