If Tristan develops a reasonably consistent 18' jumper, who's better?

A lot more would have to happen than Thompson just developing a jump shot.

Not sure if it matters, but I did mean a fully developed Thompson, not what he is right now.
Just seems to me that when ever I read about what Thompson could become, it starts sounding a lot like Nance.

He is a long way away from being Larry Nance and may never be. He is more physical than Larry even though Larry was a great shot blocker, and he has no where near the jumper Larry had. I really do not see much of a comparison at all.

When Nance came into the league with the Suns he was a long, lean player who could block shots and dunk. He took time to develop his jumper. I think the comparison is more than reasonable, but the question of who is better is kind of out there. Like someone else said there is a long way for TT to go before he is even in the conversation.
Nance was a consumate pro, and after going through the issues that that Suns team had with the cocain controversy (Nance wasnt involved) I think coming to the Cavs was like a bit of a rebirth for him, meaning playing with good guys who wanted to win and had the talent to do so. His maturity was what this team was missing at that time and they really took off after the trade. That trade was one that was actually great for both teams involved and for the players involved as well, something that is very rare.

I see a slightly smaller Derrick Favors sometimes...they both need work on their FT's, they are both above average athletes, they both are good offensive rebounders and shotblockers, and they both would be much better if they developed a nice midrange game (or just improved their overall FT and shooting mechanics in general)
