So the 4th pick

Now to figure out what the lolcats and gizzards are taking and what will be left for us.
Bobcats: Best player available so MKG? They need help just about everywhere and I don't seem them caring about things like fit.
Gizzards: I'm not sure it is a given who they will take. The only real talent they have is at pg and center. Beal is projected but Robinson could be just as likely.
So that leaves us either Beal, Robinson and Drummond as the only possible players left that are worth the 4th the pick. Lamb and Barnes just don't seem like options right now.
Which one will it be?

And if we get Robinson what do we do with TT?
I don't want to hear about sticking either of them at center either >:O

Ahh so much calmer now....long as the Cavs got a top 4 I was fine and they did just that.
All that was eliminated was the choice between Beal, MKG and Drummond, we're pretty much now just going to watch what happens in front of us and adjust accordingly.
Bobcats will not take MKG as far as I'm concerned...they're rebooting this franchise more or less..hustle players with a speech impediment don't sell tickets or bring people to the gym. Thinking it'll come down to Beal and Robinson here. Predicting Beal
Washington could go hometown with Robinson if he falls, or could go with one of the wings. I don't see Drummond here...will end up between MKG and Robinson...predicting MKG unless they decide Vesely is a SF. (He isn't)
Cavs draft Drummond

Robinson is probably the most polished scorer in the draft........that is something we desperately need

As I mentioned.....don't put it past MJ to take Drummond and try to mentor him into the player he can be....

I was hoping we would get 2 or 3. I just feel that either getting Beal or MKG would have been a lock and I wouldn't have to think about this crap.
This little bit of uncertainty is annoying.

I agree. But they very may fall there if either Robinson or Drummond impresses in a workout. If not, I have to admit that I was really big on Barnes before the tournament. He's 6'9, very smart, hard worker, and is very young for a sophomore. Being friends with Kyrie, I would not be upset with him if Beal or MKG don't fall.

Agree with this. I really hope MJ goes with Kwame 2.0, that would leave us with either Beal or MKG. I was a bit bummed when I saw our logo pulled out at four.

Bummed for sure but I still have confidence we will get a great player. I believe that Portland is very high on Drummond.......could there be structure where we trade #4, AV, and 24 for #6 and # 11 plus a salary filler from Portland? Cavs could get Barnes.....even though I hate him.....along with Rivers/PJ3, etc......

Lamb all day, maybe we can trade back to get him. Look what he did with Kemba Walker. He is a good defender, can create his own shot and play off the ball, which would be great with Kyrie. Who cares how skinny he is, look at Tayshaun Prince, he was skinnier and a great defender still.

We are smart people here. We know that this draft is crucial and could be our last top ten pick for a long while. If it isn't, we didn't draft well in this draft or improve at all. Minus injuries, we were around ten last year. We have assets. If we like a guy like Beal, make a move to get him. We have the NOH second and future picks we could part with to swap one spot. It really won't be that pricey. We may need to sellout to move up from the Laker's pick as well. Bottomline, this is the draft. Come away with two starters. My hope, Beal and a sliding Zeller or Moultrie. Harkless, Taylor, or Quincy Miller if they fall would also suffice.

How do they divvy out the lottery number combos? Is it really as simple as "we won the coin flip but lost the war?"
Ah well, praying MJ or the Wiz will grab Drummond. I'd also take Robinson over Drummond, even if that means that TT becomes a bench player.

I think you're mostly right. I think MJ will shoot enough holes in Beal's game that him or MKG won't seem like worthwhile returns for our "historic" season.

I have a sneaking suspicion that MJ will take it upon himself to make people forget about Kwame by hitting a homerun with Drummond. MJ likes a challenge, he'd rather try and fail with 2 Kwames then miss out on the next Dwight Howard.

regardless of who we take at 4. I feel we will still need to get another top 5 pick next year to become a legit team.
we are guaranteed one of:
MKG
Beal
Robinson
Drummond
Barnes
not too bad. i'll be happy with any of them, but like i said, we still need one more top 5 pick next year and we're set.

Finally we get to know what pick we are having.. Was hoping we'd get a top 3 pick, but I have no complaints at all. I wonder what would have happened though, if we didn't win that coin flip against the Hornets.. Would we be picking Anthony Davis?
Anyways, I am hoping that we can end up with either MKG or Beal, depending on who the Wizards and Bobcats take.. If they are both gone by #4, I am guessing we'll probably take Drummond. I am not too high on Robinson.

Jazz fan here: Do you guys have any interest in trading out of the pick for a starting C? We have Al Jefferson, $10.8M TPE, and the GSW top #6 protected next year. Could that net #4? Would you want to throw in a contract to keep your cap space? Any interest?

Not a single interest.

I think the only reason I added Robinson is because they started talking him up a lot towards the end of the season and started calling him a top 5 pick.
He simply isn't good enough to make up for the fact that he will be taking starting time from TT. At least with Drummond we won't have to worry about that since we were planning on moving Varejao anyway.

The Cavs turned down a trade for Al Jefferson a few years back right before the TWolves traded him to Utah stating that he did not fit the style of game that the Cavs were trying to emulate. I cant really see them going after him now, especially at a much higher price tag than the original trade that they declined.
