Anyone as shocked as I am that someone a player of his caliber would actually be interested in playing with the Cavs? What are the chances of us signing him next year?

Slim to none. He's going to use the teams with cap space to encourage LA to extend his contract. At one point he said "he would play anywhere." Obviously not true in the wake of his refusal to sign an extension with the Magic.
Additionally, if it were true, he'd be playing in Houston or Cleveland right now with the Cavs sending 4 or 5 draft picks and salary relief to Orlando for Howard and flipping Howard + more to LA for Bynum, easily trumping the framework both teams have worked with in the past. That it hasn't happened makes me think that Bynum wants to stay in LA, and LA just wants Bynum to get the message that he is replaceable.

I think hes one of the few really good players that would be interested in playing here. Hes already won some rings and hes probably looking to get paid and be more of a focal point in a teams offense.
Hes got a bit of a lousy attitude sometimes but id love to sign this guy, wed be starting to look real real good.

We're a promising team on the rise with money to max him....why wouldn't he want to play here?
I think its unlikely he leaves the Lakers (i'm always suprised anyone would), but if he did I don't see any reason Cleveland wouldn't be as much of a consideration as any other team that could legitimately sign him.

He's got the Jersey connection with Kyrie and Waiters, but I think you all hit the nail on the head that this is just him putting some work in to ensure he gets that max contract from the Lakers.

Players like Bynum and others will use Cleveland as a tool citing their cap space to get what they want elsewhere. It's as simple as that.

If Bynum wants to play for us, and would sign an extension, I would trade for him as part of a Dwight to LAL trade.
My undoubtedly hated by all 3 team deal(didn't run it thru the trade Machine)
We trade Walton to ORL, Boobie to LAL, Tristan Thompson to ORL
We send the Kings pick to ORL, and the MIA/LAL pick to ORL
We get Andrew Bynum from LAL,QRichardson and Duhon from ORL
Lakers get Howard and JRich from Magic
Magic get Josh McRoberts from LAL and a pick(if LAL has any left).

No chance at all he comes to Cleveland. If he is still in LA, they will give him the max. IF he is traded to Houston..........they will also give him the max.

Seriously, only the most naive of us would actually believe that we have a chance at signing a free agent of Bynums caliber.

If Bynum does go to Cleveland it would set a nice precedent and perhaps pave the way for more big name players to go to smaller market teams in the future.
And fwiw if you're Bynum and Lakers management is telling you that they're looking to move you there are worse places to play than Cleveland. I realize the city doesn't have the greatest reputation but they're a young team with a great PG in Kyrie Irving and Bynum, at 24, would be the elder statesman. He would be the leader of that team. If he's looking for an opportunity to get out from under Kobe's shadow and lead a team of his own going to Cleveland would give him a nice opportunity to do so.

No he's not. That's a myth. He just has a prettier post game. Dwight scores more on better efficiency and is a big playoff scorer. He doesn't fade like Bynum and he's done it alot longer than one season. Also bynum Is pretty terrible against a double team.

Depp ur avy is very disturbing. Anyway ..if you guys got Bynum id probly have to get League Pass because Kyrie/Bynum/Waiters would be awsome.

Dude Bynum isn't a first option, most plays aren't for him.
