Kyrie needs to start looking to pass more

As a general rule, Kyrie can get a good shot or to the rim against just about anyone. However on occasion folks are either going to take that away or he's not going to shoot as well. Because of this he really does need to start looking to get his teammates off more than he has been. He's starting to draw an inordinate amount of attention and the other guys on the team aren't even looking to get the ball at all. While I don't think Kyrie takes too many shots he has got to start using the attention that he gets to help others and that have got to start looking for opportunities.

Looks a little like what Kobe & the Lakers are going thru right now. The more points Kyrie averages the less wins the Cavs have. Kyrie will have to start trusting his team-mates more. 25 pts - 5 assists = less wins. 18 pts - 9 assists = more wins.

I don't think that's true. Kyrie isn't even close to the type of gunner that Kobe is, he's just not expected to pass once he starts moving towards the basket. Not to mention, the Cavs just don't have the scorers that the Lakers have.

It kind of sucks when we watch games and when Irving does pass his teammates blow it.

Our record blows in games where Kyrie isn't the main scoring option and there is an inverse relationship between the amount of assists he gets and the wins we have.
I'd rather he just play within the flow of the game. We are better whens hes HOT, playing aggresive and scoring.

I know, but right now we are way too dependent on Kyrie have a good to great game for us to even contend with bad teams. All folks have to do is guard Kyrie.

Even worse than that even when it's a good pass they will invariably fumble it. A couple games ago he actually handed the ball to someone and they still dropped it leading to a turnover. How in the hell is a ball handed to you in the gut and you still can't get a handle on it?

I not saying Kyrie is a gunner or campare to Lakers just saying when (not if) we get better he won't need to be the primary scorer & have more assists.

I agree. Kyrie is so young and needs to improve defensively for sure. But his offensive game is so smooth, it stacks up with the best the league can offer in comparison. We are so lucky. I especially like how he can use both hands and the glass from anywhere. Smooth and old school? Pinch me.
I gotta give TT some props too, he's starting to develop into a quality big man we hoped he would be. Credit to Big Z too working with him. His offensive game has skyrocketed. It's amazing really compared to last year. If Dion can learn some better shot selection and Zeller improve that mid range shot he's constantly taking. We got some things going here. Lots of picks and a bench thanks to Memphis.
Not gonna live in some fantasy world that the old guard/forward is coming back. We have a young team that with the right pieces coming could make us proud. It's a good time to be a Cavs fan.

Perhaps this only applies for the first 3 quarters..
Down the stretch, he should just take it over by himself.

Funny thing is, he clearly is not trying to be the man during the 2nd and 4th quarters. That's when he probably needs to be setting up guys but man, he's just so daggone good that i don't care what he does as long as he continues being remarkable to close out games.
So yeah, nevermind. Shoot Kyrie Shoot.
