"Rockets Trying To Trade Thomas Robinson To Clear Cap Space"

I guess it's one thing when you blame Kings organization for lack of progress, but even Rockets don't want him now, that speaks volumes.

I would not be against absorbing Robinson's contract.

I think he's an NBA player, but he seems like a complete overlap with Thompson. I suppose you could get away with playing them together some, but if that's unlikely I wouldn't touch him.

I'd flip the #31 to HOU for the chance to see if there is anything there. The Cavs need a 5th big and could be better than Luke Harangody..l

I think he would be worth it if he proves to be a rotation big.

Not afraid to admit that I was OK if we picked Robinson. Called him the next David West. So far - not so good

Yup. For the 31 or 33, it's a low risk/high reward kind of thing. Give him some minutes off the bench, repair his value, and trade TRob in a year or two.

It's more the situation & "scheme" fit for Robinson & the Rockets. Can't say he's a bust when he's yet to get a real shot.

The truth about Thomas Robinson is that his jumpshot was oversold and he's not that polished offensively. He used his physical strengths to dominate at kansas but they don't exist in the NBA.

I find it amazing how we constantly get hammered for drafting waiters and Thompson but no ones says anything about players like trob, derrick williams etc..

What the hell is it about the cavs that brings us so much hate? Theres been so much worse drafting from other teams in recent years but people never talk about it.

showcase Robinson until Noel comes back, then ship him out

Showcase him where? He's 6'9" and nowhere near as good as Thompson..I don't get it.

If we can get him for one of the 2nds I would be all for it. We can use another big body since it looks like Speights will opt out, and TRob showed to be a very good college player. Who knows, maybe he will figure it out and become a productive pro with his next team, for that price why not take a chance on him?

considering speights could be showcased, I think a better player on a better deal could be

It's way too early to judge a player that was thrown into a completely wrong situation and never played more than bench minutes all season. I think he'll go somewhere and actually get to play and be just fine, something like 14/10. He should be able to be a really good rebounder.

Because our picks don't resemble draft mocks.

We may very well be bringing in two rookies this season and you want to take a flyer on a 2nd year player?

That's not how team building works, we cannot have a team full of 20-23 year olds and compete.

It seems that way, but then again Robinson spent most of his season in Sacramento and that place is dysfunctional. I mean you guys should be familiar with J.J. Hickson. He goes to Sacramento and looks pretty bad there... bad enough where they waive him and then Portland picks him up and all of a sudden he looks productive again. I'm pretty much giving Robinson a pass last year.

It's one thing to get off to a slow start in a bad environment, but Robinson was one of the worst players in the NBA this year. People keep making excuses for him.
