Remembering Dajuan Wagner

Always felt bad this guy didn't get to do anything special with Lebron? I believe If he could have stayed healthy I think he would have been the much better duo with Lebron than Mo Williams was. He was 19 when he got drafted in 2002 and scored 100 points in a HS game and was a scoring machien. He is a guy I really felt had talent and wished had a chance to stay in the league a long time. He was basically a cross between a modern day JR Smith and Nate Robinson but he had a bad colitis infection that put him in alot of pain and ended his career basically.

Any longtime Cavs fans have any memories of this guy? I think he plays for fun now and he seems to still enjoy the game which is nice. You can't always be a superstar but I like what Wagner is doing now despite what could have been.

It was a fun few weeks watching DWags. Once he came back he really wasnt the same, but sure tried to play like it. He went through a 15-20 game stretch where he averaged as many shots as he did minutes. Great street baller type of guy, but not really a winning type of ball player. Still, a lot of fun to watch and a shame what happened to him.

Good to see he is healthy and still playing. Hope he was smart with the money he made, top ten first round money is enough for most regular folks to have a nice rest of their lives.

I'm happy to see him still playing the game and glad he recovered from those injuries.

However, I never really liked him as a player. He was just too inefficient in terms of scoring. He was shooting in the 36-37% range. That is pretty appalling.
