What a disgrace.

My favorite sport is and always has been basketball, I have been watching the Cavs for as long as I can remember. It's getting kind of hard to even care about a team that doesn't care about it's fans or winning or anything.
This team is built terribly, and we're set to have another losing season. Look at it this way, we now have to go 28-17 for the rest of the year to even finish .500. The next 3 games are against the Lakers, Blazers, and Nuggets. All of them are looking like a loss.
We can't stand for this, there is no benefit to losing for us. Getting another lotto pick is just adding another teenager to a team with a bunch of kids. No way to get better doing that.

Here comes all the posters that will say "it's only been two games with Deng, give it time". Same idiots that were saying it's only been 10 games, 20 games, 30 games blah blah blah at the beginning of the season. I swear that's the team slogan, "it's only been X games, give it time!".

A bunch of pouty, whiney, spoiled kids who think they are the center of the universe and are entitled to being a star without having to actually put in the work that is required? Maybe that's it.

For a moment there I thought you were referring to Cavs fans.
I still can't believe the level of self-delusion that permeates the tank-culture in the fan base. Yeah, Mike Brown was going to come in, snap his fingers, and suddenly we wouldn't be the worst team in the league because a guy fired 6 games in to a season is some sort of miracle worker ?!?

I think most us would agree that there is at least enough talent on this team not to lose to another bottom feeder by 44. This isn't the tank thread, its the our team would at least compete in the WNBA thread.

There is no reason to be facetious here.
Miami has won 2 titles in a row, the Cavs are on pace for like 26 wins.

I feel for you guys. Utah is young, and I was hoping to just make or miss the playoffs, because that would of meant that we have a great young core, instead Kanter is a defensive liability, Hayward is inconsistent, I'm not sure yet if Burke is the PG of future (though that's because it's very early), and our coach sucks. To make matters worse it's starting to look like we might not get one top 3 or 5 highest picks, so we may not get a difference maker in the best draft in years. Utah like Cleveland is a small market, which doesn't attract top free agents so we rely on the draft too. We aren't the best in the draft either. We passed on Paul George, getting Gordon Hayward, Kanter over Valanciunas (well that's TBD), Burks over Leonard (though of late it's not looking like a big mistake), and ofcourse Burke over MCW (though maybe no one saw that one coming).

you have a nice team but your expectations, like many Cavs fans, are way too high.

Really? I can't believe that anyone is still on Mike Brown's side in the least possible way. Okay, its not all his fault but we do not even have an idea which of the young guys is really the best at each spot in different situations and who works well together in rotations against bigs, faster teams, half coart teams running teams, etc. This guy has muddied the waters in some ways on who to keep, really. We could make more bad moves this next draft based on bad or missing information from his horrible coaching and adjustments.
UNBELIEVEABLE!!!

I think most would agree that what we've seen is pretty pathetic. The problem is that the apparent causes are so numerous. Eliminate all the dead wood or dying branches and there is very little tree left.
There has been failure in the front office, on the coaching staff, and with the players. Amazingly enough, the Cavaliers are still sitting in a position to have a very bright future, with a lot of good picks, plenty of cap flexibility, and an owner willing to spend. There's no reason not to believe that it won't be wasted without major changes though.

What I find "UNBELIEVEABLE!!!" is that there are fans who actually made it through Mike Brown Episode 1 and yet somehow expected him to step right in to a 22-win team, implement his systems during pre-seasons, and come out of the gate on a 45+ win pace.
And yes, Mike's approach has "muddied the waters". That's what happens when you step in to a bad situation and push down on the detonator. All very predictable as well.
We could have gone with a coach that would have been content to arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, but that's not what we did.

ok, I'm bumping just because I have being last on the previous page, and because I want to add to the commentary on Brown.
As noted above, Mike Brown is not THE problem with the Cavaliers. He's one of many. I'd hate to think that people believe changing the coach rights this ship. There is a lot more to it.

Your both right but the ship is sinking and adding more ballast with Mr. potato head is not helping. He is not a sail that is helping drive the ship. He is not evaluating the talent we have he's making things worse and jettisoning him will help lighten the load and straighten the course. Name one thing his actions have helped on. Just one

100% agree. We're seeing pretty much 0 in terms of player development and Brown simply isn't putting guys in a position to succeed. He wants to hedge screens hard when we don't have the personnel to protect the rim on drives, or the perimeter length to contest shooters.
He's pretty much trying to fit the team to his schemes, instead of working his coaching around the kind of roster he was given. This team gets zero easy baskets and we work so hard to score. We don't maximize guys strengths. There's no reason why Luol Deng should be isolating and shooting 3s on the majority of his touches.
This should be a scrappy running team that forces turnovers and gets on the fast break. Fun basketball. Brown would rather sit in the half court and run a stagnant offense and an ineffective defense that doesn't force any turnovers.
Until Brown is fired, this team isn't going anywhere. Grant deserves blame for hiring him back, and although I think his draft "errors" are very much overblown, his free agency signings this past year were atrocious. We could have done better just resigning Speights, Livingston, and Ellington.
