Only One Way Out for the Cavaliers- Baller Mind Frame

Typical article documenting the misses and what-ifs of the past few years, and what it may mean for the future. My question really deals with Tristan Thompson though: do you think he has reached his ceiling already? I still have faith in the growth of Bennett and Waiters in a suitable system, but Thompson continues to underwhelm me.

This is the typical numskull 20/20 hindsight view of the Cavs. Nothing original or even thought provoking in this article.

Thompson, underwhelming? You can show yourself out.

I actually agree that Thompson has been underwhelming this season. I'm not sure that he starts for most teams at PF. The Cavs should not offer him an extension. If they don't trade him, the Cavs should tender him and see what the market will bare as a RFA. I suspect that he won't be offered much more than a quality back up or below-average starter.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

ESPN came out with a new stat, "Real Plus Minus". It is not kind to Tristan; he ranks somewhere around 70th in the league at the PF position.

That brings me to my next point children don't smoke crack
Screw Ladouchebag forever and always
Screw most owners that are stupid and greedy
Screw the devil david stern
Screw the officials that handed the heat a championship
And screw the media that loves to tell us who we should love and why.

Building up trade value methinks.

Big men tend to be late bloomers, albeit there's no book on big men who switch shooting hands. For the typical impatient Cavs fan, it's impossible to imagine that Tristan may still be 3-5 years away from showing what he really is as an NBA player.

No, even years of experience still won't necessarily raise him to the All Star level, but of all fan bases we should be able to appreciate what a really good hustling garbage man type player can bring to a team.

Speaking of, Anderson was 29 years old before he averaged over 20 combined points & rebounds in a season like Tristan apparently disappointed everyone with this season at 22 years of age.
