Yesss! Glad he's gone. Here's what I posted on General board

The guy is not a good coach. He did get screwed having Bynum on the team and then acquiring two major role players (Deng/Hawes) late in the season. Regardless, happy to see him go. People rip on Dan Gilbert but the guy is willing to spend his money to improve the team and for that I am really pleased with him and think our entire fanbase is.

One thing that had to really work against Mike - His offensive deficiencies showed very clearly with his inability to teach Kyrie and Dion to coexist. If the franchise (barring major trade) sees both heavily involved in future, that lack of progress was probably the final straw.

Jim Buss might as well relocate himself out of LA and relinquish his VP title if that happens

I would have liked to see another year with Brown, but I can only assume that Griffin had his reasons, and also has one or two candidates in mind to replace him. One step forward, two steps back.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

This isn't a good move until we see who he hires. If we end up with someone like Jackson or Pringles we won't celebrating for long.

Like I've said a million times, I think he got WAY too much undeserved hate this year, but I can't say I'm unhappy with the firing either. He was a mediocre coach. We'll see who they hire. But it's nice to have some hope of improvement on that front.

He isn't a bad coach at all, he was just not the right person to be coaching this young and inexperienced team. There was never any consistency with his rotations and he still lacks making any in game adjustments. And don't even get me started on the offense.. Most of the players were shooting a career low this season. Not to mention the fact that he decides to give players like Jack, Miles, and Clark heavy minutes over Waiters, Zeller, and Bennett is a major headscratcher. He was definitely not the right candidate for the job, and I don't hesitate to say that this move already makes the team better. I'm excited to see who the Cavs hire next.. I am hoping for someone like George Karl or Lionel Hollins. This team had no business missing out on the playoffs, especially in a weak Eastern Conference..

This probably a mistake and definitely premature. They don't know if their franchise player is a franchise player. They don't know if he wants to stay. Yet let's make a bunch of coaching/personnel moves before deciding the big stuff. For everyone celebrating, there are many coaches in the league who are worse than Mike Brown.

This is illogical. There's no point keeping a coach not suited to this team or development around waiting to find out if Kyrie will stay or is a franchise player. Whatever the answer to those questions mike brown is not the man for the job.

This is part of "the big stuff" and making this move doesn't effect our ability to decide other things.

I do agree there are worse coaches in the league than brown so I worry who we'll sign.

If Kyrie's not here, I'm not convinced that Brown is a bad fit for this team. This team played some of it's best basketball defensively when Kyrie was injured. That was with Jack, a bad defender, starting in his place. Think about that. My crystal ball says we will hire a run-and-gun "players" coach, make the playoffs outscoring other teams in 42 of the 82 games, and are an first round exit for the next couple of years. Nobody grows as a basketball player. Nobody does anything they don't want to do.

I will tear my face apart if he is hired a THIRD TIME by this organisation as head coach someday.

I doubt he'd take the job.

Mike Brown didn't sign Bynum, or Jack, or Clark. He didn't let Livingston walk for nothing. He didn't draft TT or Bennett. He did take the team from 30th in the league in opponents FG% to 12th. He'll get hired again.

How do you guys feel about the potential Adrian Griffin hire?

I think I would prefer for this team to get an experienced coach with a track record of head coaching success. Would hate for this to become a "he's only been a head coach for two years, give him time" situation.
