I'm really excited about our roster next year. I'm hoping that we keep the #1 pick and draft either Embiid or Wiggins, so that our lineup next year looks something like this:
Kyrie/Delly/Jack
Dion/Miles/Felix
Deng or Ariza/Karasev/#33 Pick
Bennett/Tristan
Embiid/Zeller/Andy

Or:
Kyrie/Delly/Jack
Dion/Miles/Felix
Wiggins/Karasev/#33 Pick
Bennett/Tristan
Monroe or Gasol/Zeller/Andy

And in both of these scenarios, we would still have over $10 million in cap space left over assuming we don't pick up Andy's option. The future is looking bright gentlemen

What makes you say that? He is 6'7" with a 6'9"+ wingspan, and he reportedly put 10-15lbs. (can't recall the source at the moment) this past season.

Once Karasev fills out, he will definitely be able to play the 3.

You have high hopes for Bennett, no? I would say I hope that you are right, but if he starts in front of TT then Kyrie will have two players he wont pass the ball to in the starting lineup.

Our roster looked pretty good on paper last season too. One thing I'm not so sure about is fit. Also chemistry needs a lot of work, we were up there with the very worst as far as team chemistry was concerned last season. I really hope we cab get a decent coach.

Even 10-15 pounds makes him too light to play the 3. He wasn't even really strong enough to play the 2 last year.

Wiggins...

The team needs some vets in the rotation, otherwise it'll be like the Chicago Bulls teams of the early 2000's when they had young talent, but never got anywhere.

**EDIT: IMO, the Cavs should keep the 3 most promising prospects & surround them with vets that could still play. And in 4 years or so, those 3 prospects should be entering their prime & be able to take the reign in leadership.

I will be very very surprised there are not major major changes to this roster. Forget who's at each postion

Just compare the group of players at each spot against the league's players at that position:

Kyrie/Delly/Jack = better than average
Dion/Miles (if he resigns) /Karasev (not a 3)/Felix = average at best but not really
Deng (if he Signs) or Wiggins (if we Draft him) and nobody else worth a crap = average at best to possibly very very bad
Bennett/TT the stiff = okay we suck here
Embiid/Zeller/Andy = Without Embiid we suck here too and I love Andy "but its over Johnny over".

You all know this reality already. We are Mediocre at best and the strength is at the 1

Unless Griffin signs some FAs (& so far he has done okay).

As was said in the waterboy: "oh no we suck again"

Elton Brand averaged 20pts & 10rebs his first 2 seasons w/ the Bulls, which are all-star numbers -- but he got outvoted by highly endorsed athletes & was passed over as a reserve for players on better teams which is fair.

Well I was really young when this core was is place & I only remember Mark Price, Hot Rod Williams, and Brad Daughtery... but Darnell Valentine was 8th on the team in minutes played (for the Cavs in 1988-89), so I'd count him as an end of rotation vet. Also, before they added the veteran players, the Cavs 1986-87 record was just 31 Wins - 51 Losses

There is no way that the Stepien era could be described as anything but a curse and it preceded all this.

Yeah, I liked the CAVS in the mid 90s w/Terrell Brandon as the lead guard. I wish they never traded him; it would have been awesome if the front office drafted Peja Stojakovic or Jermaine O'Neal instead of Vitaly Potapenko with the #12 pick in '96... They made the right choice w/ Zydrunas Ilgauskas at #20 though. Solid core that would have been.
